Valentine’s Day can put a real strain on your wallet. Whether you’re saving up for a ring or you spent your last dollar eating out for Valentine’s Day, we get it—you still have to bring home a few little treats to make the day special. That’s why we’re going to Aldi. They make it dang easy to shop on a budget. Here are some deals we’ve fallen in love with.
Choceur Milk Chocolate Brownie & Salted Caramel Choco Changer Chocolate Bar ($3.29)
Aldi has a whole fleet of chocolate bars for under $4, so you really can’t go wrong wherever your taste buds pull you, from whimsical white chocolate bars to decadent dark chocolate and everything in between. Those are overplayed though so I went with something more fun for Valentine’s Day: salted caramel brownies in chocolate bar form. This is for the folks who don’t go for the corny pink-and-red stuff.
Classic Red Velvet Bites ($4.29)
These red velvet bites are perfect to bring out on Valentine’s Day for the less baking-inclined readers out there. Now I am not advocating lying to your valentine, but if they happen to assume you baked these yourself, there’s not really anything you can do about it.
Choceur Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels ($4.39)
A dinner on the Valentine’s Day is fleeting, but a tub of dark chocolate sea salt caramels (one of our favorite chocolates at Aldi) lasts forever. Okay, not forever, but definitely longer than that $40 filet mignon you splurged on.
Moser Roth Valentine’s Day Truffle Hearts Chocolates ($4.99)
These little heart-shaped chocolate truffles cost less than five bucks, but they look much fancier than they are. The flavors are fancy, too: Cookie Butter, Salted Caramel, Coffee, and Ganache. Budget chocolate doesn’t have to be boring!
Lofthouse Valentine’s Frosted Sugar Cookies ($3.95)
And of course, one for my fellow singles out there on Valentine’s Day. How exactly is a 10-pack of Lofthouse sugar cookies for single people, you may ask? Would you want to share a measly 10 cookies with a partner? Didn’t think so. They’re so damn good, these can’t be shared. Put something nice on the TV and dig in.
