You never know what you’re going to find when you walk through Aldi’s automatic sliding glass doors. Lots of bargains, sure, but each and every week, the discount grocery store is also stocking lots of brand-spanking-new products and weird seasonal items you have to pounce on before they disappear. To kick off March, Aldi has a bunch of new seafood in the frozen aisle, and some new Indian dishes, too. Here’s what we can’t wait to buy at Aldi this week.

Videos by Sporked

Fremont Fish Market Wild Caught & Frozen Stuffed Clams (3/4; $5.99)

Stuffed clams are a classy appetizer. Stuffed with what, you ask? Welp, looking at the package on Aldi’s media site, we honestly can’t tell! But they look fun and at six bucks for nine loaded clamshells, it’s worth giving these suckers a shot.

Specially Selected Crispy Stuffed Shrimp (3/4; $5.99)

What you get here are butterflied shrimp topped with a healthy dollop of jalapeño cream cheese, then coated in breadcrumbs and deep fried. Honestly, I didn’t even know you could stuff a shrimp, but I’m glad Aldi did it.

Journey to India Chicken Tikka Masala (3/4; $6.49)

Watch out, Trader Joe’s! Aldi’s coming for your territory with this new frozen chicken tikka masala. You get a pound of white meat chicken pieces in that spicy orange sauce you know and love, and it’s WAY cheaper than takeout.

Journey to Nepal Chicken or Vegetable Momos (3/4; $6.49)

Have you ever had Nepalese momos? We honestly can’t say we’ve seen these at other grocery stores and they look good, especially if you love dumplings as much as we do. These palm-sized dumplings are shaped like soup dumplings and they’re filled with either minced chicken or minced veggies. They come with a sesame dipping sauce, too.

Clancy’s Nashville Hot Chicken or Cuban Sandwich Kettle Chips (3/4; $2.19)

I love this for the Aldi brand Clancy’s. Nashville hot chicken or Cuban sandwich kettle chips sound like fantastic options to bust out at a springtime picnic. They’re not traditional options but then again, what’s life without a little variety? (Also, worth mentioning that Lay’s Cuban sandwich chips RULED and you can’t get them anymore, so these are filling an important hole in the market.)

Kirkwood Maple Bacon or Nashville Hot Dry Rub Wings (3/4; $8.79)

Sweet or spicy, the choice is yours! It takes the right kind of person to love dry rub wings and unfortunately, god made me to be a sauce loving fiend. I’ll let you all have your fun with this one.

Other stuff to keep an eye out for this month…

Specially Selected Pepperoni Pinsa Pizza

This one’s basically the flatbread pizza you’d find at the AMC concession stand, and I love that for us. Put on a movie, cook this baby up, and silence your phone for a true theatre experience.

Fremont Fish Market Catfish Fillets

Simple, classic, and (pretty much) just in time for lent.

Fremont Fish Market Wild Caught Beer Battered Fish Fillets

Avoid the crowds at the pubs and celebrate St. Paddy’s Day with fish and chips at home.
