Fishwife started out as a small, artisanal, woman-owned tinned fish company with extremely pleasing packaging and high quality seafood. Now, it’s grown into a big, artisanal, woman-owned tinned fish company. It still has extremely pleasing packaging. It now boasts a big variety of high quality canned seafood. And it’s becoming more and more accessible across the country. First, Costco started selling three-packs of the spicy albacore and the rainbow trout. Now, people are spotting Fishwife cans at Aldi!

Fishwife at Aldi? Tell me more!

Aldi might be known for its store-brands like Specially Selected, Simply Nature, and Happy Farms, but the budget-friendly grocery chain is also a great place to score deals on name brand products, which now, apparently, include Fishwife!

While I haven’t personally spotted any cans at my local Aldi, Redditors have posted multiple images of Fishwife’s Albacore Tuna in Spicy Olive OIl and Albacore Tuna with Spanish Lemon. Aldi itself has confirmed that they are stocking the tuna in an Instagram post.

How much is Fishwife at Aldi?

From the pictures, it appears that a can costs $6.99. I know that might seem steep for canned tuna, but trust me, it’s a deal. If you buy directly from the brand, you’ll pay $32 for a three pack, which comes out to more than $10 a can! You’re saving more than $3 by buying from Aldi. That’s a deep discount.

Is this a permanent Aldi product now?

Sadly, no. Like so many things that Aldi stocks, this will only be on shelves for a limited time. You have until 3/24 to stock up on as many discounted cans of Fishwife tuna before Aldi turns off the tap. Happy fishing!

Hi! I’m the editor-in-chief of Sporked. I will never turn down a fresh-shucked oyster but I’ll also leap at whatever new product Reese’s releases and I love a Tostitos Hint of Lime, even if there is no actual lime in the ingredients. Why you should trust me: I have been writing about food and beverages for well over a decade and am an avid at-home cook and snacker. I began my career writing about fine dining and recipes, moved into cocktails and spirits, and now I talk about groceries. If you can eat it or drink it, I’ve probably written about it. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s dried okra. Appleton Farms prosciutto from Aldi. Some sort of Trader Joe’s cheese (I’m into the aged gouda at the moment). Frozen waffles (usually the Eggo Cinnamon Toast Minis). Spindrift water (loving the Cosmopolitan right now). Favorite ranking: Smoked salmon. Imagine me as Scrooge McDuck but instead of coins I’m diving into a vault of slippery smoked salmon slices. Pure joy. I also found some real steals in that taste test! Least favorite ranking: Canned oysters. I had such high hopes for this but it quickly became a chore. The kitchen smelled like an uncleaned aquarium.
