McDonald's Launches Super Mario Galaxy Movie Happy Meal Toys

I have fond memories going to McDonald’s as a kid and devouring a Happy Meal, laser-focused on the true prize: the plastic toy treasure tucked down in the bottom of the box. Now, as an almost 30-year-old adult (or shall I say kidult), I still treat myself to a Happy Meal every once in a while (no shame in that McD’s game) and guess what? There are new Super Mario toys being added to the lineup.

McDonald’s introduces new Super Mario Galaxy Movie Happy Meal toys

With the new Super Mario Galaxy Movie slated to hit theaters on April 1, McDonald’s is celebrating by adding new Mario-themed toys (or, to be specific, keychains) to Happy Meals. There was a similar collab back in 2023 for the first film and now there’s another and we’re truly geeking out over here.

The toys in the Happy Meals will include 12 keychains featuring beloved characters including Birdo, Bowser, Bowser Jr., Bowser Jr. (Wonder), Luigi (Frog Suit), Luma, Mario, Mario (Fire Flower), Princess Peach, Rosalina, Toad, and Yoshi.

Each toy comes as a clip-on to add to your purse or backpack or keyring, alongside a personalized display stand with different intergalactic backgrounds that can be placed on a nightstand, desk, dining room table, or, of course, your Mario shrine. The options are endless when it comes to showing off your new Mario keychains.

If the Happy Meal toys didn’t get you excited enough, then maybe the new digital component will. Each Happy Meal box will have a scannable QR code on it that opens a digital adventure to play on HappyMeal.com. Whether you’re in-between meetings at work or bored at home, you can entertain yourself with some nostalgia.

When can I get the Super Mario Galaxy Movie Happy Meal toys?

The promotion at McDonald’s is slated to start on March 26 across the U.S. for a limited time so you’ll want to snag one (or multiple Happy Meals) before it’s too late.
