When it comes to its toaster strudels, Pillsbury doesn’t play. One of its most iconic (if not the most iconic) products, the baked goods company has been serving up strudels since 1985, and in that time, it’s produced a pretty wild number of flavors for everyone’s delectation. This breakfast staple may not be the healthiest around, but it’s definitely one of the most convenient – and it’s not going anywhere any time soon.

Well, except the snack aisle at Sam’s Club, that is. Pillsbury’s toaster strudel has broken free of the confines of the freezer and has made its way into cookie form, and honestly? We’re into it. Here’s everything you need to know.

Pillsbury Strawberry Toaster Strudel Mini Soft Baked Cookies

Pillsbury’s new Strawberry Toaster Strudel Mini Soft Baked Cookies are pretty much exactly what they sound like: A combination of its strawberry toasted strudel and cookies. Rather than having a jammy strawberry filling, these soft sugar cookies are studded with strawberry-flavored chips and drizzled with the strudel’s signature icing. We probably wouldn’t recommend having them for breakfast (strudel feels just about acceptable to start the day off with, but having a cookie every morning does feel like it’s pushing it a bit), but as a snack, we think they’d rock.

Boxes of Pillsbury Strawberry Toaster Strudel Mini Soft Baked Cookies were spotted at Sam’s Club last week, with news of their arrival posted on Instagram by @samsclubfavorites. Each box contains 28 individual pouches of cookies and is priced just under $12 (prices may vary by store). Word of their arrival created some pretty immediate buzz, with one person commenting, “These look delicious.” We have to agree. They really do.

Pillsbury: A Company with Ambition

Pillsbury’s new toaster strudel-flavored snacks may be the latest in the brand’s dough-and-sugar mash-ups, but it’s not exactly new to cookies in ever-more adventurous flavors. Its ready-to-bake cookie selection frequently shows what can be done with candy is combined with the nation’s favorite sweet treat; Pillsbury’s recent Snickers cookie dough is evidence of that. It’s also recently been focusing on product tie-ins, with its ready-to-bake scones featuring as part of Betty Crocker’s Bridgerton-themed baking kits. General Mills owns both brands, so the combo makes a lot of sense.

In an inverse move, Pillsbury’s also not shy about adding other snack flavors into its toaster strudel. At the end of 2024, the brand brought out donut-flavored toaster strudel, which we duly gave a taste test to (spoiler alert: We weren’t completely blown away, but they weren’t too bad). We’ll be keeping an eye on it to see what it comes up with next. We’re sure it won’t be long until the next wacky snack hits stores.
