Easter’s almost here! And that means food. Lots of it. And not just candy, either (although we’ve done plenty of discussing which Easter candy you should be getting this year). We’re talking ham. Potatoes. Roasted things. Delicious things. Family-friendly foods that you can put on the table and watch everyone enjoy.

You know the annoying thing about those kinds of foods, though? They take forever to prepare, and buying them all individually is quite annoying. So, of course, Costco’s here to act as our lord and savior in grocery form this year, by dropping a limited-time Easter meal kit that takes all the stress out of cooking this year. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

Costco’s Kirkland Signature Ham Dinner

As @discovering_costco revealed over on Instagram, Costco is dropping its Kirkland Signature Ham Dinner tomorrow (yes, tomorrow), and it’ll cost $4.79 per pound. For that price, you get three different items: Baked ham, mashed potatoes, and green beans. We’re guessing this is the Spiral Sliced Ham that we actually recommended a couple of years back as something you should buy for Easter dinner from Costco, so we’re glad to see that we’re on the same page as the store on that one.

Back then, we advised you to go for its Reser’s Main St Bistro Baked Scalloped Potatoes, which it looks like it’s still stocking this year – but look, we also love getting everything in one big bundle and hopefully saving a bit of cash in the process. Also, let’s be honest, Costco’s mashed potatoes are really good, so we’re definitely not complaining. They’re buttery, they’re herby, and they’re plentiful. We’re into it. Very importantly, though, you only have a couple of days to get this meal kit: It’ll be gone by the end of April 4, so move fast.

Oh, and while you’re there, you should probably pick up some new candy too. Costco’s now selling Lindt Pistachio Truffles, and we simply demand that you try them. ‘Cos they’re very good.

How Do Customers Feel About This Easter Meal Kit?

Well, to be honest, people aren’t that impressed with it. “Is that it? Ham, green beans, and mashed potatoes?” asked a customer commenting on @markie_devo’s Instagram page. “Seems like it would be better to get an all inclusive dinner at Cracker Barrel per person.”

Well, we do get that, but not everyone wants to go out and eat on Easter, and this gives you the option to just get everything prepared at home with minimal fuss. Plus, when you consider that ham can cost a good couple of dollars per pound anyway, this meal kit doesn’t feel overpriced; it just rolls everything into one. Tempted? Let us know if you try it after the fact. Oh, and a very early happy Easter to you, the person reading this.
