Sprite + Tea is heading back to shelves this May, but that’s not the biggest news about Sprite’s tea-flavored soda. Thanks to a recent global brand refresh, we also just found out that Sprite is releasing two new Sprite + Tea flavors. Here’s all the details on this very important developing story.

What are the new Sprite + Tea flavors?

While we weren’t sure when it was first released, the returning original Sprite + Tea is now explicitly labeled as being flavored with black tea—so it’s like a traditional Arnold Palmer, just with Sprite. The new Sprite + Tea flavors will be Sprite + Tea Green Tea and Sprite + Tea Jasmine Tea.

I am so here for Sprite + Tea Green Tea. Canada Dry’s green tea flavor is one of my absolute favorite sodas, so I have high hopes that this new Sprite will taste somewhat similar, with the mild bitterness of the green tea harmonizing with the sweetness of the soda. I’m not so sure about the Sprite + Tea Jasmine variant. Jasmine tea is super floral. I’m not convinced that those types of flavors will work with Sprite’s lemon-lime profile.

Sadly, I probably won’t get to test these out any time soon…

When and where will these new Sprite flavors go on sale?

Honestly? We don’t really have any idea. Our sources say there’s no evidence that these new Sprite flavors will be coming to the U.S. this year. Fingers crossed for 2027, I guess?

What else does Sprite have in the works?

At the same global brand refresh, Sprite debuted its new logo, which replaces the dot over the “i” with a “lymon” (a lemon-lime symbol). They also revealed “Sprite Sound.” Here’s how it’s described by Coca-Cola: “Created in collaboration with Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum producer and artist Mustard, the Sprite Sound will live across all new Sprite audio and video communications—creating a consistent, instantly recognizable expression of Sprite through sound.” I feel…old. Anyway, Sprite’s also releasing new Sprite Chill flavors—that news got its own, dedicated article.

Hi! I’m the editor-in-chief of Sporked. I will never turn down a fresh-shucked oyster but I’ll also leap at whatever new product Reese’s releases and I love a Tostitos Hint of Lime, even if there is no actual lime in the ingredients. Why you should trust me: I have been writing about food and beverages for well over a decade and am an avid at-home cook and snacker. I began my career writing about fine dining and recipes, moved into cocktails and spirits, and now I talk about groceries. If you can eat it or drink it, I’ve probably written about it. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s dried okra. Appleton Farms prosciutto from Aldi. Some sort of Trader Joe’s cheese (I’m into the aged gouda at the moment). Frozen waffles (usually the Eggo Cinnamon Toast Minis). Spindrift water (loving the Cosmopolitan right now). Favorite ranking: Smoked salmon. Imagine me as Scrooge McDuck but instead of coins I’m diving into a vault of slippery smoked salmon slices. Pure joy. I also found some real steals in that taste test! Least favorite ranking: Canned oysters. I had such high hopes for this but it quickly became a chore. The kitchen smelled like an uncleaned aquarium.
