What’s better than a PB&J sandwich? Few things, people, few things. Except…a PB&J sandwich, encased in chocolate. Nutritionists, look away now, because that’s what Reese’s is bringing to the table this spring. After a bannerhead Easter for Hershey’s, during which it sold a bunch of new and returning candies, it’s pushing ahead into the middle of the year by bringing back a fan favorite: Reese’s Strawberry PB&J Cups, which first dropped last year, to significant fanfare.

If you were in love with the grape version when it first came out, though, we have some bad news – it’s not coming back. Here’s everything you need to know.
Reese’s Strawberry PB&J Cups
This super-sweet snack from Hershey’s is apparently designed for anyone who finds making a PB&J just a little too much hassle (and we can’t imagine there are many of you like that out there, but if you are one of those people, then we have to talk – it’s literally just spreading two different things on bread). Reese’s Strawberry PB&J Cups come with the snack’s classic peanut butter, but underneath that is nestled a layer of strawberry filling. The cups will be available in snack-size, Big Cup, and King Size.
When Strawberry PB&J Cups first dropped in 2025, they were accompanied by a grape flavor, which sadly hasn’t made the cut this year. There’s no official word from Hershey’s as to why they axed this one, but the company has implied that it’s all down to popularity: In a statement to Parade, it said that the strawberry flavor “quickly became a standout,” which basically means that the grape flavor…didn’t. Oh, well. Maybe next year, huh?
Reese’s Strawberry PB&J Cups are now available in retailers nationwide, but they won’t be around for long. As with virtually everything these days, they’re a limited-time release, so snap them up while you can.
The Year Of The Filling
Reese’s Strawberry PB&J Cups aren’t the only Peanut Butter Cup flavor that Hershey’s has brought back this year, though: A couple of months back, we were graced with news of the return of Reese’s Marshmallow Big Cups, which have made a comeback for the first time in two decades. These cups have exactly the same concept as the strawberry ones, but instead of a berry-flavored filling, they have a layer of marshmallow.
Sadly, it’s fair to say that its Marshmallow cups might not be as big a smash as the company probably hoped: When we taste-tested them, we weren’t fans at all. We guess they might have tasted better 20 years ago, when all of our palates were a bit more used to artificial flavors? The good news for its Strawberry flavor is that they’re recent enough for people to remember that they actually do like them, so we feel like these will work out a bit better for the chocolate giant. If you try them this time around, let us know what you think.
