Dippin' Dots Are FINALLY Coming to the Grocery Store, Here's What We Know

No, you’re not dreaming. It’s finally reality! After many years of everyone wishing they didn’t have to head to a theme park or go to the movies to get their flash-frozen ice cream fix, Dippin’ Dots will now be available at your local grocery store. Is it a miracle? Is it a recession indicator? I wouldn’t rule out either option. Either way, we’re glad that the powers that be at Dippin’ Dots caved to the pressure.

Customers have been begging for Dippin’ Dots in stores for decades

“Customers” being me, at the very least. Being a cookies and cream fanatic, it was easy for me to fall in love with the unique eating experience that Dippin’ Dots offers. How do such tiny morsels of ice cream hold so much flavor? We may never know. And let’s not dwell on why it took them so long to expand into grocery stores and just be thankful they finally took pity on us.

Dippin’ Dots will be launching their line of frozen aisle ice cream with three flavors: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Cookies ‘N Cream, and Ultimate Brownie Batter. They’ll be sold in boxes containing four 2.5 oz cups. So while you will be able to bring your fix home, the sizing could have been a little more generous. Oh well!

And, good news, they’re getting a full nationwide launch

No gatekeeping to be found here by region-locking the release. Dippin’ Dots has confirmed their multi-packs will be available at Walmart and other retailers nationwide starting this spring (no official release date, so keep your eyes peeled).

And hey, that’s not even all the news we got from Dippin’ Dots! They used the buzz around their new launch to drop some extra info: Dippin’ Dots will also be adding two new Sundaes ice cream flavors to their legendary lineup: Cool Mint Crunch and Banana Split. Their Sundaes flavors differ from the norm because they take those iconic beads of ice cream and layer them with toppings and sauce. This version of their ice cream has, in fact, been available at grocery stores for some time, so while it’s worth noting, it’s not nearly as exciting as the OG Dippin’ Dots making their grocery debut!
