In my neck of the woods, more and more stores are popping up that import international snacks. And not just snacks that only exist in other countries—American snacks that get released in totally different flavors in other countries. Flavors that are gate-kept from us. But hey, maybe the palate of the average American just isn’t adventurous enough to make it worth a brand’s while to release things like Spicy Crayfish Lay’s or Spicy Sour Doritos here in the States.

Take Pringles for example. You can just browse their website to see what unique flavors are only offered in other markets. I recently took a moment to wander their virtual aisles, finding flavors I wish we could try. Here are some International Pringles flavors I’ll be buying the instant my local import shop gets them in stock—or the next time I make it to Thailand, Australia, and Italy.
Salt & Seaweed (Thailand)
Salt and umami to the extreme! Downing a whole tube of seaweed Pringles in one sitting sounds like quite the satisfying experience. Though the salt may start to add up, so it’s probably best to eat this tube of briny chips over the course of a few days.
Sizzling Meat Lovers Pizza (Australia)
Yes, we have Pizza flavored Pringles here in the States, but not meat lovers pizza. Smoky meat flavors layered with the tomatoey, oregano-forward seasoning dust we know and love sounds like a real treat.
Masala (Canada)
Ironically, Canada has a whole line of Asian-inspired Pringles that I couldn’t find anywhere else. I found Sweet Chili Sauce, Spicy Hot Pot, and this Indian-inspired Masala flavor. You kinda can’t go wrong with whichever you grab when you’re north of the border.
HOT Kickin’ Sour Cream (Argentina)
The line of Pringles HOT chips comes in five flavors sold across South America. You can choose from Sour Cream, Chili and Lime, Cheese and Chili, BBQ Ribs, and Sweet Chili. Sour cream was a common theme among our top placing Pringles flavors in our taste test, so I’m curious how HOT version compares to the OG. Also worth noting: They’re not HOT, but BBQ Ribs Pringles have been spotted at Dollar General here in the U.S.
Ketchup (Italy)
We’re no strangers to ketchup chips, which are huge in Canada, but we’d love to see how Italy is doing them. Someone grab my passport!
Jalapeno (Costa Rica)
Interestingly, Pringles’ Habaneras flavor made it up from Central America, but this jalapeno variety has yet to make the jump. Pringles promises a bold chip with the right amount of spice for any occasion. That’d be nice to see because the habaneras left a smidge too much spice in the back of our throats for true comfort.
