Reese's Officially Drops Two New Flavors on Shelves

Maybe it’s the nostalgia, but we can’t help but be excited about Reese’s chocolate-coated revival of comforting childhood sandwiches: peanut butter and jelly, and peanut butter and marshmallow. These two sandwiches have filled countless brown paper bags, bento boxes, and SpongeBob lunch pails.

Anyway, Reese’s just dropped two limited-edition flavors: Strawberry PB&J and Marshmallow. Here’s all the details on these new and returning Reese’s flavors.

PB&J Strawberry Reese’s

PB&J Strawberry Reese’s Cups are back back popular demand. Reese’s describes these cups as being comprised of Reese’s “signature milk chocolate [and] Reese’s classic peanut butter with a layer of strawberry flavored filling.”

Originally released last spring, these PB&J-inspired Reese’s were actually part of a duo of Reese’s flavors. There was also a grape-flavor of PB&J Reese’s. Evidently, that one didn’t get the same response as the strawberry. We tasted both PB&J flavors last year and totally agree that strawberry is far superior to grape. Good riddance.

Last year, you could only get PB&J Reese’s as Big Cups. This year, though, you can also get them in Snack Size Bags. Will less peanut butter filling make them even better? I guess we’ll just have to taste them. Our jobs are so hard!

Marshmallow Reese’s

Marshmallow is the new bombshell entering the villa, as one of the brand’s most requested flavors on social media. Despite the proven anecdotal success of the PB and marshmallow combination, Reese’s hasn’t dabbled much in marshmallow since 2006, when they offered the Marshmallow Take 5 bar. But, even 20 years later, the people want that lovable, innocently simple, delightfully sugary combination. They want the nod to the PB and Fluff sandwiches of their childhood, and we respect that.

The Sporked team is divided on these new Reese’s. We weren’t personally fans of the Marshmallow Big Cups, but we recently tasted the non-Big Cup version and were pretty big fans.

Both the Marshmallow and Strawberry PB&J Reese’s Cups are available nationwide for a limited time.
