Nothing Bundt Cakes’ Strawberry Cheesecake Swirl: Our Honest Review

It’s always a good day when Nothing Bundt Cakes adds a flavor to that grand display case full of treats. This time around, we’ve got our hands on the returning Strawberry Cheesecake Swirl bundt cake. Yes, after debuting to rave reviews back in 2025, this seasonal flavor is returning to all 800 N.B.C. bakeries nationwide just in time for Mother’s Day. Nothing Bundt Cakes sent over a few of these Bundlets for us to try; let’s find out whether we’ll be contributing to those rave reviews or risking the wrath of the dessert-flavored-dessert superfans.

Nothing Bundt Cakes Strawberry Cheesecake Swirl Cake Review

Pros: The uber-moist cake base really lends itself to the cheesecake theme; I had to triple-check the flavor description to make sure there weren’t cheesecake chunks mixed in. The strawberry syrup and streusel topping further trick your brain into thinking you’re taking bites of the classic dessert, rather than an imposter (said with love). I wouldn’t mind seeing this concept return with different fruit variants, or even a take on chocolate cheesecake. If they’ve already got this cheesecake-flavored icing nailed down this well, let’s start experimenting!

Cons: While the “Cheesecake Swirl” name may have you hoping for a combined cake-and-cheesecake experience, the cheesecake of it all is limited to the icing and streusel topping. It certainly delivers the vibes, but it isn’t technically cheesecake if that’s what you were hoping for–not a dealbreaker for me, but the true cheesecake fanatics may be disappointed.
