Is cream soda…back? We kinda think so! Cream soda is obviously one of the most retro flavors out there, but in the last couple of months, we’ve been feeling a bit of a resurgence in the air (which, if we were betting people, we’d put down to the lateral popularity of dirty soda and its creamy flavor profile). Mountain Dew threw us all a curveball this year when it released its new Dirty Mountain Dew, which is one of the best sodas we’ve tried this year. Now, Sprecher has released three new cream sodas, and we’re ready to get our hands on all of them.

Sprecher Cream Sodas
Milwaukee’s Sprecher Brewery is more used to making root beer (as well as hard root beer, which we think is pretty solid), but with the release of its new Cream Sodas, it’s stepping into another old-school flavor profile while giving it a fun little twist. Sprecher isn’t just going for standard cream soda here, but instead it’s created three fruit-infused flavors: Peaches & Cream Soda, Strawberries & Cream Soda, and Pineapples & Cream Soda. Like Sprecher’s other drinks, all three of these sodas are fire brewed, which basically means that they’re created over an open flame, which is honestly very cool.
Sprecher isn’t the most ubiquitous brand out there, and it’s very much a craft operation—and so tracking these down might be a little tricky. You can buy them on the Sprecher website in 12-packs, but currently, only the Peaches & Cream option is in stock; the other two are sold out. You’ll also be able to find them in regional retailers like Blain Farm. Other than that, though, they don’t seem to have made it to national grocers or supermarkets just yet. If you do buy them online, they cost approximately $38.99 for each 12-pack, or you can subscribe to a rolling delivery for a little less.
Is this Sprecher’s first cream soda?
This isn’t the first time that Sprecher has released a cream soda: It already has one. Sprecher Cream Soda has been available for years now, and it’s fair to say that it remains a hit. “This is the best and creamiest cream soda I have ever tasted,” says just one review on its website, with a veritable chorus of approval piping up to say how good this drink is. So, do we trust that its fruit-infused cream sodas will be just as tasty? We do. Have we tried them? We have not. Would we like to? You better believe it.
Until then, though, we’ll be keeping a keen eye on what the response to these new flavors is—and we’ll obviously be watching out for which drinks brand hops on the cream soda train next. Because honestly, it looks like it’s not stopping.
