Just when you thought Costco couldn’t make life any easier, they go and outdo themselves. The latest mealtime hack to hit their stores is a seafood boil that’s ready to roll right out of the bag. No more waiting in line at your local boil-and-bag spot. You don’t even need to rig up a gargantuan stock pot in your backyard. This thing is a reasonable size and has everything you need. Okay, fine, they didn’t include the plastic bib, but hey, we can’t have it all.

What does it actually come with, though?
Costco’s fresh seafood boil comes in a mesh bag and you’ll find it on ice in the store’s fresh seafood section. In one convenient bag you get Dungeness crab, shrimp, mussels, and clams, along with baby red potatoes and corn on the cob. Costco even includes a seasoning packet, so you really get the full seafood boil experience with none of the prep. We love!
The seafood boil itself is being sold in a digestible size, literally. You can grab one bag to serve yourself and maybe one other person, or grab a few bags and have a little party (okay, you may need the backyard stock pot after all). Melt a stick of butter into the pot, throw out a few lemon wedges, and Bob’s your uncle. Heck, you could even get a set of steaks from Costco to make it a surf-and-turf themed party.
What are people saying about this seafood-y sucker?
At $11.99/lb, the price point isn’t bad, but some commenters on TikTok thought it was high considering that you’re also paying a premium for the corn and potatoes. Mostly, people seem concerned they won’t be able to find this at their local Costco store because their stores haven’t had fresh seafood since the COVID pandemic. Anecdotally, it’s not showing up on Instacart at our local Costco, but hey, maybe you’ll be luckier than we are!
