How to Get a Free Firehouse Sub (By Being Named Mike)

Mikes are going to be eating well on May 6! This coming Wednesday, Firehouse Subs is taking shots at their competition, Jersey Mike’s, by giving away a free Steak & Cheese Melt to anyone named Mike (or some variation). Included in the list of accepted names is Mike, Michael, Mikey, Miguel, Michelle, Michele, or Michaela.

Firehouse Subs has already called my bluff, because they will be checking valid IDs. First I get shafted by souvenir keychains all my life and now this. It’s always Mike and never Vinz. Coincidentally, the president of Firehouse Subs’ name happens to also be Mike, so did he do this all just to get a free sub? I’m starting to think so.
