Get ready to eat a lot of red, white and blue frosting!

We recently covered a few of our favorite new snacks themed to America’s Semiquincentennial, a word I’m still not really a fan of. (I’m just going with our 250th anniversary.) And now, Pillsbury has just announced a range of America-themed treats to celebrate that anniversary, or just regular Fourth of July, if that’s what you prefer.
Betty Crocker America’s Birthday Cake Soft Baked Cookie Mix
While I’ve been thinking of this as America’s 250th anniversary, you can also think of it as our 250th birthday, hence these birthday-cake-flavored cookies with red and blue sprinkles. Of course, you could also use them for a person’s birthday, and they’d never know they were taking party treats from an entire nation.
Pillsbury Apple Pie Ready-to-Bake Cookie Dough
This refrigerated and ready-to-pop-in-the-oven dough gives you that patriotic apple pie flavor, which has to be good year round, right?
Pillsbury Grands! S’mores Cinnamon Rolls
More summer-campfire-themed than patriotic, these chocolate and marshmallow-flavored rolls have a new recipe, which the company says is more flavorful than their last version, which was discontinued nine years ago. Let’s hope these stick around for a while.
Pillsbury Ready-to-Bake Red, White and Blue Cookie Dough
Another refrigerated and quick-and-easy-to-bake cookie dough, this sugar cookie recipe features red, white and blue sprinkles mixed in. It’s also safe to eat raw, if you just want to gulp it down while watching fireworks, which is my American dream.
Pillsbury Toaster Strudel Stars and Stripes (Strawberries & Cream Stripes, Apple Pie with Star Sprinkles)
These limited-edition versions of Pillsbury’s toaster strudels come in two varieties: The Apple Pie with Star Sprinkles features a sweet apple pie filling covered in icing and star-shaped sprinkles, while the Strawberries & Cream Stripes one comes with blue blueberry-flavored icing. Either way, it sounds like a nice way to take a break while you’re trying to bake up all the rest of the items on this list.
