Today, May 4th, marks the launch of a new eye-popping menu at Popeyes. Haha. I’m so funny. WAIT. DON’T GO. I won’t make another pun again, I promise! I swear!!! I have important news to share, okay? I’ll be quiet. You won’t even notice me.

First thing’s first: Popeyes Chicken Wraps have returned… for good. Plus, we’re getting a brand new wrap flavor, too.

Last June, Popeyes added chicken wraps to the menu nationwide for the first time. It was a limited-time release to test the waters. A summer fling, if you will. Well, the chemistry must have been right, because Popeyes made it official: They’re permanent menu items now.

These “classic” and “spicy” chicken wraps feature a crunchy chicken tender, shredded cheese, lettuce, and two pickles. I do remember the limited amount of pickles on these being a point of contention for some customers. Whether or not I agree with that opinion is irrelevant. I’m not here, remember? I’m merely a vessel delivering and disseminating factual information about fried chicken. (Like how these wraps are only $3.99).

Third-wheeling this release is the all-new Blackened Ranch Chicken Wrap, which you can order classic or spicy. It’s basically the same as the other wraps, but with their Blackened Ranch spread.

Popeyes also released two new chicken sandwiches today!

Everyone, say hello to:

  • Popeyes Honey BBQ Chicken Sandwich: basically you’re standard Popeyes Louisiana fried chicken sandwich, but with honey BBQ sauce
  • Popeyes Honey BBQ Bacon & Cheese Chicken Sandwich: same deal as the honey BBQ, but with Havarti cheese and bacon

These smoky-sweet sandwiches (swoky?) are probably more exciting than chicken wraps to most of you. Maybe I’d count myself among that group, maybe not. You can’t see me. I’m invisible. Okay, bye!!

Sadly, I can never move back to my home state, Florida, because even if the seafood is totally unmatched, there aren’t enough Mediterranean or Korean restaurants to keep me sane.
