Swinging through the Costco bakery is a quintessential part of the Costco shopping experience. You’ve got to grab your favorite staples (bagels, croissants, etc.), but most importantly you also have to look around to see if there’s anything new since your last trip. Perhaps even something that’s returned that you’ve been sorely missing. On your latest run through of the Costco bakery you might have noticed something special that’s finally come back…

Costco’s beloved Peaches and Cream Bar Cake is back!

We’re all above flavor here at Sporked. There’s a lot to love about Costco’s Peaches and Cream Bar Cake. It’s made with three layers of vanilla cake, filled with whipped cream and peach jam. The top is the real shining feature, though. It’s topped with a vibrant peach glaze and delicate white chocolate curls. This would absolutely get a handshake from Paul Hollywood (I’ll take it in Costco’s place, Mr. Hollywood). It’s pretty stunning for $17.99.

Costco’s really capitalizing on peach season

Thanks to the wonders of modern technology, you can realistically serve any food regardless of when it’s in season, but it’s still nice to indulge in something right when it’s picked off the vine. Or rather, the tree in this case. Peaches are so delightfully juicy and delicious when they’re in season, so Costco taking advantage of the perfect time of year is a nice touch.

Be sure to add this mouthwatering dessert to your shopping list for your next Costco trip or heck, even make a trip just to get one. Make sure you get it before it’s gone.
