Friendly’s dropped a very friendly new ice cream flavor on us this year, which an eagle-eyed fan spotted recently at a Shoprite. It’s called “Friendly’s Fluffer Nutter.” I realize that “fluffernutter” is a nostalgic peanut butter sandwich with marshmallow creme beloved by many, but my mind is really in the gutter with this one. It’s like Little Debbie’s Nutty Buddy Creme Pies all over again. Am I alone?
I’m probably alone. Ah, well.

You, the people, actually voted for this new Friendly’s flavor. Cute!
I’m not being facetious. I actually really do think this is cute. Friendly’s has an annual “flavor faceoff” every summer, where they pit two new flavors against each other and ask the public to vote on which one they want to be released. This year, the Nutter’s new Friendly Fluffer—sorry, no, that’s wrong—Friendly’s new Fluffer Nutter ice cream won the popular vote. It was up against Caramel Churro, which also sounds pretty yum, but I think we made the right decision.
This flavor has actually been out since January, but it’s in limited stock and a little niche, so consider this your PSA!!
What does it taste like?
I’m going to resist the urge to make another nutting joke right now and just tell you: this is (perhaps obviously) a peanut butter ice cream with a swirl of marshmallow cream fluff.
Also, I can see the comments now yelling at me for calling this ice cream when it’s technically a “frozen dairy dessert.” You’re right. I am wrong. You win. I lose. Okay, moving on!
And WHERE can I buy it? Tell me right now or so help me—
I’m getting to that! Jeez! Slow your roll, cowboy. You can find these at certain grocery chains like Shoprite, Grocery Outlet, Shaws, and Food Bazaar. Since reportedly this flavor can be tricky to find, I would try checking where it’s available on Instacart before leaving to seek it out. (Friendly’s official store locator, unfortunately, does not list the product, so it can’t help you find it.)
As to where you can get your nuts fluffed, that’s your business, not mine.
