Mountain Dew is trying to establish a stronger presence in Australia. Well, that’s if the brand’s push in the country is anything to go by (and if any Australians are reading this who fancy telling us whether said push for a presence has been a success, then let us know). Over the last couple of months, there has been a string of releases Down Under, with Mountain Dew Typhoon returning as an Australian exclusive and a new Blue Raspberry flavor arriving at its shores.

Now, though, Mtn New is stepping into new territory in the country, with Mountain Dew Chews and Jellies. Introducing Mountain Dew’s collaboration with Allen’s. Let’s go.
Mountain Dew x Allen’s
As @thegrocerygeekau reports over on Instagram, Mountain Dew has teamed up with Allen’s Lollies to create two different flavored candies, each coming in an array of soda flavors. First up are Mountain Dew Chews, which feel in kinship with Hi-Chews, coming in Original and Passionfruit Frenzy flavors. Both chews have a fizzy sherbet center to emulate that fizzy effect that you get when drinking the soda. Love it.
Then, Mountain Dew & Allen’s are releasing Mountain Dew Jellies, which come in three different flavors: Original, Typhoon, and Blue Razz. The candy (or lolly) manufacturer is really leaning into the Australian exclusives in its flavor profile here – and why wouldn’t they celebrate it?
Both packs are currently available at retailers that sell Allen’s, and they cost $5 AUD each. And for everyone who isn’t in Australia…well, sorry, guys, but it doesn’t look like this one’s gonna be released more widely any time soon.
Are They Any Good?
Well, luckily, we’ve got some reviews, hot off the press (by press, we mean “Instagram Reels” – we live in 2026, after all). Snack and drinks vlogger @russ.eats tried these candies over on Insta, and rated each flavor out of 10. On the Jellies front, the Original flavor scored a 7, while the Blue Razz got an impressive 8. The Typhoon, meanwhile, did not fare well, getting a 3 out of 10, and being described as having a “farty” aftertaste. Okay, maybe we give that one a miss.
The chews, meanwhile, are very chewy – and the Original flavor got an 8.5, and the Passionfruit Frenzy was the overall winner, with an impressive 9.5. It’s sweet, it’s fizzy, it takes time to get through – it’s a hit. Another reviewer, @nectoriouspapi, agreed with the assessment of the Passionfruit Frenzy, but did note that they might just be a bit too hard to chew through. So, it really does depend if your teeth are up to it, folks.
