Have you had enough of pickle mania yet? What’s that? You haven’t? Well, then we’ve got some good news for you. Hot on the heels of its pickle beer release and the rumor that it might be teaming up with Burt’s Bees to make lip balm, Grillo’s has just partnered with Smoothie King to release a Pickle Smoothie, which is available at all Smoothie King locations as of today, May 12.

And guess what? We’ve got everything you need to know. Pickle lovers, your prayers have been answered.
Smoothie King x Grillo’s Pickles
Smoothie King and Grillo’s Pickles collaboration follows in the footsteps of last year’s Tomato Ketchup Smoothie, and is a similarly eye-catching proposition for the smoothie chain. “As temperatures rise and hydration takes center stage, now you can chill out and drink a pickle smoothie this summer,” said Smoothie King in a press release shared with Sporked, which points out that this drink will be packed with electrolytes. It might not be as easygoing as an electrolyte powder, but it’s definitely more of a talking point.
As for what’s in the Pickle Smoothie, it contains Grillo’s Pickles (as you’d probably expect, huh?), combined with bananas, organic kale, and coconut water. The result is, we’d imagine, a sweet-savory, earthy, slightly salty concoction. It could be an acquired taste, or it could be a smash hit. We’ll have to wait to find out.
When? And Where?
As we mentioned above, the Pickle Smoothie is available right now, and you can find it at Smoothie King locations nationwide. It will cost $5.99 for a 20-oz drink. Plus, on May 16, you can also grab a free (yes, a free) 40-oz Pickle Smoothie at Smoothie King, in honor of International Pickle Day. We bet you didn’t know that’s a thing, but it is! This free smoothie is only available while supplies last, though, so get there early if you wanna try this thing.
In addition to its new Pickle Smoothie, Smoothie King is also bringing back its watermelon flavor, with five different watermelon smoothies also now available. Like its pickle version, these are also designed with electrolytes in mind. There’s no risk of getting dehydrated at a Smoothie King at all this year, it seems.
In case there was any doubt, the Pickle Smoothie is a limited-edition item—so if you’ve always wondered what it tastes like when blended with banana and kale, then now’s your chance.
