The Corona Summer Scavenger Hunt We’re Excited About

I’m a little disappointed that CBS’s Survivor didn’t tag me in this directly. I guess I have to raise my superfan status even further to get that kind of treatment. The biggest season of Survivor that we’ve seen in over five years is over, but that doesn’t mean that brands trying to capitalize on the buzz are calling it quits. The latest team-up sees iconic Survivor alumni Boston Rob Mariano and Corona leading a virtual scavenger hunt.

Join In The Corona Great Cooler Hunt

Corona is launching the Corona Great Cooler Hunt, a nationwide search for Corona coolers, where fans virtually explore iconic U.S. beaches and dig for prizes. Prizes vary, but the top prize is a dream beach vacation! As it’s a beer company, there is an age restriction for this one. Fans 21 or older can join in the hunt June 4th through September 7th. Interestingly enough, the fine print specifies no alcohol is given away with the prizes. Still, the younglings can’t join in the fun.

The Sneak Peak In Survivor‘s 50th Finale

The 50th season of Survivor, named “In the Hands of the Fans,” just finished airing. In the final episode, Corona played a commercial featuring cast members Cirie Fields and Dee Valladares to announce the hunt. Both are joining Boston Rob in the hunt to keep fans in the know with prize previews and seasonal inspiration all summer long.

The Missed Opportunity

How do you have a Survivor themed scavenger hunt and not use the play on words to make it an idol hunt?! I mean the opportunity was right there. How was there not one Survivor superfan able to get the pun into production? Whatever. It’s fine, I’m over it. And I’m excited for the hunt anyway. I’ll still be playing along and hoping that I can choose Cirie as my plus one for the vacation. I’m sure her husband won’t mind!
