Trader Joe’s giveth, Trader Joe’s taketh away. The grocery chain seems to simply love, simply adore, simply be obsessed with bringing out items, allowing people to fall in love with them, and then discontinuing them – and while you can make your voice heard when something that’s removed from shelves has disappeared, a lot of the time, they can be gone for good. It’s not always because people don’t like what it’s selling, either: Sometimes, items can be discontinued due to supply or quality control issues.

But! TJ’s is also in the habit of reviving beloved products, like its burrata filling and mini lemon sheet cakes, to the delight of its shoppers. And it’s done that once more, with its Creamy Unsalted Peanut Butter. Let the bells ring out!
Creamy Unsalted Peanut Butter, We’re Back In Business
Trader Joe’s Creamy Unsalted Peanut Butter is, it’s fair to say, a customer fave: Ever since this peanut butter first dropped, TJ’s shoppers have loved it for its unadorned ingredients list and good flavor. But then, a couple of months ago, disaster struck – and by disaster, I mean, “it was suddenly out of stock.”
Okay, not quite a disaster on the same scale as a meteorological event or something like that, but people were still very upset. People went to Reddit to discuss where its Creamy Unsalted Peanut Butter had gone, and why it was out of stock, where it was revealed that there was an apparent quality control issue, and Trader Joe’s had had to discontinue it for the time being until it had figured things out. Cue much consternation and annoyance, which was sort of fair enough, really: It’s hard to find a good unsalted peanut butter out there, especially at a reasonable price.
But Now It’s Back?
Oh, it’s back! As of a few days ago. The news of its return broke, once again, on Reddit, and the masses were delighted. “Literally so happy when I saw it in stores,” said one commenter, while another said, “Doggies everywhere rejoice.” Trader Joe’s is very much looking out for its canine contingent here, clearly.
It should be said not everyone’s that pleased about this peanut butter being back, mainly because, well…they like salt. But look, folks — you might have to add your own if that’s the case. If you’re in the market for a little bit of gastronomic mixology, find this PB at Trader Joe’s now.
