The biggest beverage brand on the planet has dubbed 2026 “The Year of Cherry“, and I’m here for it. Brands big and small are releasing cherry variants of their classic drinks alongside brand-new cherry drinks to fight for grocery supremacy. Today, I’ve got my hands on C4’s new Cherry Cola energy drink. The brand was nice enough to send over samples to Sporked’s chief energy drink reviewer. Let’s find out whether this new energy drink can deliver on a very classic concept.
- C4 Cherry Cola Energy Review

-
Folks, I’m a known cherry drink enjoyer. I’ll fight anyone who wants to disparage the medicinal texture of a full-sugar IBC Black Cherry or Stewart’s Wishniak. I’ve long gone to bat for drinks that others compared to Dimetapp. Basically, I’m potentially the least objective person to review an energy drink aiming to replicate Cherry Cola.
Pros: Anyway, this is fantastic. C4’s Cherry Cola Energy delivers the fizzy, fruity fun I want from a full-sugar cola with no actual sugar to speak of. There’s a depth to the cola flavor here that I’ve sorely missed from other “cola” flavored energy drinks. This is witchcraft. Get yourself a can of this ASAP if you want to taste the future.
Cons: My only complaint about this drink is the limited availability. C4’s Cherry Cola Energy is exclusive to the Casey’s chain of gas station-pizza shop-convenience stores. As someone who doesn’t live near a Casey’s, it kills me that I can only get my hands on more of this drink during road trips.

What’s next from C4 Energy?
For once, I’m not sure! My sneak peeks into the future of C4 ended at the trio of Cherry Cola, Pink Lemonade, and Hawaiian Punch Berry Blue Typhoon. We won’t be seeing the brand’s energy drink collaborations with the European Millions or Twister brands on American shelves anytime soon, despite reports from some questionable online news pages. As brands expand beyond the borders of the United States, international product developments are often shared domestically by mistake (or with a willful intent to clickbait).
