Well, I didn’t think I’d be saying the words juicy melon this early in the morning but here we are. Costco’s stocking a convenient and suggestive two-pack of a new cantaloupe that markets itself as sweeter and more succulent than the original. Do I buy into the buzz words? I am a simple man so they have my attention. Either way, there are also some items of interest, so let’s get into all the new offerings at Costco this week.

Loacker Classic Strawberry Crispy Wafers
This is a wild thing to admit but wafers have been a constant in my life for longer than I care to admit. There’s just something so satisfying about the flavor and crunch that they deliver in any form. So naturally, this was an easy sell to me. Loacker’s a powerhouse in the wafer industry so seeing their new strawberry wafers that are now available at Costco got me more excited than can be considered normal.
Joolies Organic Date Sours Watermelon
This might be the most unique twist I’ve seen on the “make snacking healthy” trend. Starting with dates is certainly a good base, but adding sour watermelon powder to them is truly a turn I didn’t see coming. That’s why I’m not in the test kitchen. I know my place. It’s in the aisles of Costco to find the exciting products to share with you and boy, do we have a big one this week.
Better Than Ramen Chicken & Tonkotsu 10-Pack
What a beautiful thing to see. Two companies, Better Than Bouillon and A-Sha Foods have teamed up for this Costco exclusive. By combining their specialities, bouillon and Taiwanese air-dried noodles, they’re taking a stand against the ramen industry and their dried powder flavorings.
Del Monte MAG.nificent Melon
I spotted this two-pack of cantaloupes at my local Costco and admittedly I am curious. Del Monte claims their MAG.nificent melon is a sweeter, more succulent cantaloupe than the average you’ll find elsewhere. It looks like a dang ol’ regular cantaloupe to me but I’ll bite. Especially considering Costco’s ironclad return policy that’s on my side if it’s a flop.
Simply Fresh Citrus Sesame Chicken Noodle Bowl
The deli section of Costco has been in a bit of a slumber lately. It was nice to see this new noodle bowl available this week. A citrus sesame chicken situation sounds delightful. This would make for the perfect lunch, either at home or in the office.
