Monster Energy Is Going Full Barista With These New Flavor Shot Drinks

I don’t like much flavor with my energy, whether I’m grabbing a cup of coffee or a bigger boost of energy like a can of Monster. But vanilla is the one flavor that can always sway me into switching things up—and now, vanilla fans like me are about to have two brand-new flavor (and hopefully amazing) options.

Monster is growing its flavored Shot lineup with a vanilla edition and I already can’t wait to crack open a can.

Vanilla Fans, This One’s For You

After the success of the first flavored Shot, Monster Energy Strawberry Shot, Monster is expanding your flavor options. The original Shot was inspired by the “dirty soda” trend, adding a shot of flavor right into Monster’s usual formula. While the strawberry version wasn’t potently sweet but rather a more subtle take on soda, it packed 160 milligrams of caffeine plus taurine and L-carnitine into each can.

And universally-loved (okay, maybe not universally, but pretty widely!) vanilla is next up.

Monster Energy Vanilla Shot will take the OG Monster formula and drop a little vanilla into the mix. You can expect exactly what the drink’s name suggests: Monster with a (perhaps literal?) shot of flavoring poured in. While we don’t have too many flavor details just yet, we suspect it’ll likely be a light touch just like the strawberry version that came before it. 

We do know that there will be two versions of vanilla to choose from: You can opt for the full-sugar version or Zero Sugar to satisfy your preferences. And both the original and Zero Sugar are expected to be sold in 16-ounce cans. 

When Will Monster Energy Vanilla Shot Be Available?

Monster Energy’s Vanilla Shot varieties are expected to be part of the energy drink brand’s new fall lineup, which also includes a Java Monster Dubai Chocolate drink. 

When, exactly, you’ll be able to get your hands on either Vanilla Shot iteration is still to be determined. We’ve spotted rumored release dates that stretch from August all the way into October. Based on the latest info we’ve seen, you should expect all three additions (both vanillas and the Dubai chocolate-inspired option) will likely hit stores this October. Odds are you’ll be able to pick up a can wherever you normally buy your Monster from.

So, keep a close eye on the Monster lineup at your go-to stores. You just might see vanilla join the options already in the refrigerated section or store shelves sooner rather than later.
