Applebee’s Refresher Dupe For National Lemonade Day Is So Wholesome

Applebee’s has a good reason for you to make a lemonade run before summer is officially over. The restaurant chain has added a new drink to the menu and a portion of its sales is going toward a very important cause.

Applebee’s hopes to raise more than $1.5 million during this year’s campaign. The restaurant chain has been working with ALSF for 22 years and has raised more than $20 million for the foundation since the partnership began in 2005. 

Lemon Berry Sunshine Has A Bigger Job Than Quenching Thirst

The Lemon Berry Sunshine certainly sounds like it knows how to have a good time. The new drink is a lemonade-based beverage with blue raspberry, lemon sour, and topped with whipped cream.

The Lemon Berry Sunshine is the drink of Applebee’s 2026 fundraiser for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), which supports childhood cancer research and families affected by pediatric cancer. The campaign runs through August 30th, giving Applebee’s fans only a little more time to sip, snack, and help push the fundraiser toward its goal.

The fundraiser is part of Applebee’s annual “Squeeze Out Childhood Cancer” campaign. So a lemonade craving can do a little more than cool someone down.

A Lemonade Run Is Not The Only Way To Help

The Lemon Berry Sunshine may be the tastiest way to support the campaign, but Applebee’s has made donating possible without ordering the drink.

Guests eating inside a restaurant can add a donation to their bill. Local Applebee’s locations may also have their own fundraising activities, so diners can check with their neighborhood restaurant to see what is available.

Online orders have another option. Customers ordering through Applebee’s website or mobile app can add a Digital Lemon donation at checkout. The available amounts are $1, $5, $10 and $20. There is also an option to donate to ALSF when purchasing an Applebee’s gift card online.

There Is A Late-Night Snack Waiting, Too

Applebee’s also has a little something for anyone planning a later visit.

The chain’s late-night half-price appetizer deal includes favorites such as Boneless Wings, Mozzarella Sticks, and Spinach & Artichoke Dip.

So, the Lemon Berry Sunshine can easily join a plate of cheesy, crispy or saucy snacks for a late-night Applebee’s run.

It’s Almost Over

Applebee’s launched this year’s campaign on July 13th, and it wraps up August 30th. The goal is to raise more than $1.5 million to support childhood cancer research and programs that help families dealing with cancer treatment.

With the deadline getting closer, there is not much time left to join in.

The Lemon Berry Sunshine is available for dine-in and To Go, and 50 cents from each one sold will go to ALSF through the end of the campaign. Donations can also be added to online and mobile orders, while gift card shoppers can contribute during checkout.
