We’re coming up on the end of yet another week and for as busy as we are, there are certain foods that have stood out amongst the chaos of our ordinary lives and diets. And there are inevitably a few things each week that we know are simply too good to gate-keep from our dear readers. But we’ve narrowed it down to the very best things, and now it’s time to share the wealth. These are the three best things we ate this week.

- Trader Joe’s Organic Under The Sea Shaped Italian Pasta
-
Listen up folks, food should be fun. For some of us, food is one of the one ways that we can make unlimited choices that are entirely self-expressive and creative. And frankly, we should embrace that. Food is probably the most customizable thing we encounter on a day-to-day basis because it is entirely personal and doesn’t really affect anyone else. So it should be fun, colorful, and interesting wherever there’s a capacity for it.
Trader Joe’s always makes fun pasta shapes for different seasons of the year, and I really appreciated this nautical batch to not only celebrate the end of summer while it persists but also to get into the back-to-school mindset. There’s something about sea creatures that just screams learning, but maybe that’s just because I watched too much National Geographic growing up. This pasta, in particular, was a standout from Trader Joe’s because it actually stood up to the cooking process and didn’t fall apart completely by the time it entered my bowl (which cannot be said for a lot of the fun, seasonal pasta shapes).
- Miss Vickies Jalapeño Kettle Chips
-
To me, these are one of those “if you know, you know” items. But, in the event that you’re not yet in the know, I simply couldn’t miss this opportunity to enlighten you to the greatness that is Miss Vickies Jalapeño Kettle Chips. They’re the perfect level of crunch that doesn’t leave your gums and the roof of your mouth all bruised and battered after enjoying the amount that strikes your fancy and the jalapeño flavor is unmatched. They’re perfectly salted and spicy, but not too spicy. And, the delightful green, vegetal flavor of the jalapeño actually comes through with these chips. Pro tip: these are probably the most elite chips for adding to a sandwich or wrap on sunny afternoons.
- Trader Joe’s Granola Butter
-
Our list of best things is pretty obviously Trader Joe’s heavy this week, but hey, who are we to fight it when they’ve been knocking it out of the park with their new product releases? Their new granola butter is one of these new and exciting products. It rivals some of the very best granola butters out there, like Oat Haus’ classic flavor, and it comes in at a lower price point.
I’m not here trying to tell you to get all the most expensive things out there and trying to convince you that they’re the best. Realistically, this is a great dupe for the expensive, name-brand version of this product. It’s super satisfying and its texture is on the better side for granola butters. All granola butters are bound to be a bit grainy since it really is just blended oats, but this is one of the better ones we’ve tried.
