Craving something new and totally different from what’s in your usual grocery haul each week? If you’re a Costco member, you have plenty of fresh choices. After all, there are plenty of awesome Costco arrivals rolling into the warehouse giant on a regular basis—though as I’ve discovered firsthand as a dedicated Costco shopper, some are downright strange.

Costco is a testing ground for plenty of eye-catching, mouthwatering new products, but some things that hit store shelves are just plain weird. I mean, crab chips? Salty egg-flavored crisps? But while some of what’s new sounds pretty terrible or even strange, I rounded up a few new Costco arrivals that you need to try because they taste amazing, even if their first impression isn’t a great one.

Utz Crab Chips

These chips probably won’t seem strange or terrible to anyone who’s lived in Maine, but for the rest of us across the country, they’re definitely an odd new Costco arrival. Utz has introduced a new, odd chip flavor in an extra-large bag.

Utz Crab Chips have been spotted in Costco locations in Northern California as well as other regional stores. And if, like me, you’re wondering why anyone would want a potato chip made out of crab, don’t worry: there’s no actual crab involved.

Rather, this Costco-sized bag of crunchy, salty potato chips is still made with good ol’ potatoes. However, they’re dusted with savory Chesapeake Bay crab-flavored seasoning instead of mere salt. And that means they’re actually quite flavorful and way more interesting than your typical chip—and well worth giving a try.

Innkeeper’s Marionberry or Huckleberry Bread

Check your local Costco for an interesting new bread arrival: regional warehouses are getting Innkeeper’s breads in flavor combinations like marionberry and huckleberry. Some stores in the Northwest in particular are seeing marionberry pop up, while others are getting the huckleberry variety.

While these might seem more bagel-like than what you’d want from a basic loaf of bread, they’re a sweet and plenty delicious twist. Both versions of this sweet bread are flavorful but not overpowering, so they make a great toast option (and they pair very well with jams and peanut butter or your favorite nut butter alternative).

In fact, some shoppers call the marionberry and huckleberry breads downright “addictive.” You don’t have to worry about a faux sweet flavor, either, because the seeds and pieces of fruit in each loaf taste like a far more natural bread than one loaded with sugars.

Great Lakes Potato Chip Co. Michigan Cherry BBQ Chips

Here’s another kind of weird chip combination that, at first glance, sounds absolutely awful: Michigan Cherry BBQ Chips. Now, I’m no barbecue-flavored chip hater, but cherry? I don’t really want that kind of sweet with my salty.

But Great Lakes Potato Chip Co. isn’t messing around with this snackable Costco new arrival. They’re definitely a far cry from typical barbecue, but if you’re someone who like barbecue flavors that skew sweet, this is a satisfying bite. There’s not much tang or bold flavor; rather, they’re almost like a slightly dessert-inspired bite. You’ll definitely taste the cherry as the most prominent flavor here.

If you like the solid crunch and thickness of Great Lakes Potato Chip Co.’s other chips (including the “plain” potato variety), these deliver the same feel with a twist you’ll definitely remember.

Annie’s Bunny Grahams

Technically, Annie’s Bunny Grahams are a returning item, not a brand-new arrival at Costco. And while it might seem weird that these little crunchy bunnies have a cult following, trust me: they’re amazing. (And the Annie’s cheese version doesn’t even come close.)

Designed as a kid-friendly snack, Annie’s Bunny Grahams are easy to miss at your local Costco. After all, what adult needs a supersized bag of Neopolitan-flavored bunny-shaped crackers? But they’re incredible—and they’re also surprisingly versatile. You can turn them into a DIY cereal with a little milk, or you can turn them into old-school Dunkaroos by dipping them in frosting. Want to top your ice cream? Sprinkle some bunnies on top.

These bunnies are like a cross between a cracker and a cookie. And as a toddler parent, I’m willing to admit that I’m picking up two bags: one for me and one to hide from my kid.
