Sam’s Club’s Latest Bakery Drop Is A Smash Hit With Customers

We’ve always got one eye on what new bakery items are dropping at Sam’s Club (its French toast bagels caught our eye recently, and boy, do they sound good), but a couple of weeks ago, it released a new cookie bar that really turned our heads. The bar in question was its new Member’s Mark Turtle Cookie Bar, and just by the looks of this thing, we knew it would be a step up. A mass of chocolate chip-studded cookie pieces topped with caramel, chocolate drizzle, chocolate curls, and little pecan nubs, it’s definitely not a light snack – but anyone who likes even one of those ingredients will probably be intrigued, and we certainly were.

The proof, though, lies in the pudding (or the cookie). Would these Turtle Cookie Bars stick the landing? We’re glad to report that they did. 

Member’s Mark Turtle Cookie Bars: The Verdict Is In

Although Sam’s Club’s Member’s Mark Turtle Cookie Bars have been in its stores for a minute now, it’s only really been the last week or so that we’ve started to get enough reviews to get a proper handle on them. So far, it seems like the crowds are happy. These bars are currently rocking a 4.4 out of 5 rating on the Sam’s Club website, with reviews skewing overwhelmingly positive for them. “Delicious!” said one customer. “The soft cookie bar was moist and chewy. The added caramel and chocolate add extra sweetness that did not overwhelm the cookie base. Can’t wait to pickup another pack.” 

Indeed, the cookie bar itself seems to be the standout feature here, with multiple people saying how soft and tender it is. The chocolate curls, meanwhile, add a pleasant crunch to the whole affair. It’s not too sweet, too, which is a surprise, given what it looks like. 

Positives And Negatives

While people are overwhelmingly keen on Sam’s Club’s turtle cookie bar, others have pointed out that it doesn’t quite come together as they’d like. Over on Instagram, @samsclubfoodreview pointed out that because there’s so much going on in these bars – the caramel, the chocolate curls, the drizzle, the pecans – things get a little crowded, and it’s hard for any one topping to really shine. The pecans, too, get a bit lost to the rest of the ingredients.

These are relatively small quibbles, though; overall, it’s a bar that’s worth your time. You get 16 pieces in each pack, too, and — whisper it — you don’t have to share them if you don’t want to.
