Tillamook Released A Special Edition Ice Cream For National Coffee Day

Tillamook has long been one of our favorite dairy companies. Their intersection between affordability and quality is one that we think is frankly unmatched. And, everywhere that we have wanted them to insert themselves into the dairy industry they have. The less obvious parts of the dairy landscape that we appreciate their presence in is through their butter and ice cream products.

They’re producing products with outrageously good quality for a price that we don’t really get to see very often, and we appreciate it from such a do-good company. Plus, their ice creams are simply some of the most impressive ones currently on the American market. One and a half quarts of ice cream will run you under $10, and their dedication to an excellent mouth feel and superb flavors is truly impressive.

Tillamook’s newest flavor of ice cream is a celebration of espresso right on time for National Coffee Day on September 29, and we’re giddy with anticipation. Let’s get into the details of this new launch, shall we?

An Espresso Overload

This fan-favorite flavor returning to Tillamook is in honor of National Coffee Day, so obviously we expected it to revolve around a coffee flavor. But they really committed to producing a strong, unmistakably coffee ice cream with Espresso Chip.

The ice cream itself is an espresso base, but the mix-ins don’t shy away from doubling down on the espresso flavor either. Scattered throughout the ice cream tub are crisp shards of dark chocolate espresso beans — yum! This is a returning flavor to the Tillamook lineup, but it is only coming back as a limited-edition flavor. So, if you’ve been eagerly awaiting the return of Espresso Chip, or are just curious about its flavor, act quick. It won’t be here long.

Let’s say coffee isn’t your thing, and you aren’t really looking to celebrate on September 29. Well, don’t worry. Tillamook has your back, too. Alongside the limited time release of the Espresso Chip flavor, Tillamook has already brought back their sugar cookie flavor ahead of the holiday season. It might be a little bit early to be getting something that feels so holly jolly, but we’re not gonna complain when it’s bound to be delicious. And hey, at least it’s not peppermint in September.
