The new toppings are made to be an easy finishing touch for all kinds of sweet treats. They have a creamy, fluffy texture and can be served with everything from pies and cakes to brownies, fruit, hot cocoa, and lattes.
Betty Crocker Is Taking Whipped Topping To The Freezer
Whipped topping has always been an easy way to make a dessert feel a little more special. A spoonful on a slice of pie can do a lot of work and nobody needs to spend time whipping cream from scratch.
Betty Crocker’s new lineup is frozen and ready to serve, so there is no mixing, measuring, or whipping required. Just grab the topping when a dessert needs a little extra something.
These toppings would work pretty well on pies, cakes, brownies, fruit, hot cocoa, and lattes. That leaves plenty of room for some fun combinations, too.
Four Flavors Are Coming
The lineup has four flavors, and each one brings something different to the dessert table.
Vanilla Bean is the classic pick. It should work with just about anything, from pumpkin pie and brownies to fresh fruit and warm drinks.
Chocolate Fudge is for anyone who believes there is no such thing as too much chocolate. This one could make chocolate cake, brownies, ice cream, and hot cocoa even more indulgent.
Salted Caramel has plenty of possibilities. Caramel already works beautifully with apples, chocolate, coffee, and vanilla desserts, so this topping could become a quick way to upgrade all of them.
Then there is Strawberry Mist, which gives the lineup a fruity option. Betty Crocker already has a Whipped Strawberry Mist frosting, so fans of that flavor may want to keep an eye out for the new frozen version, too.
Fans Can’t Wait To Grab Them
For now, dessert fans will have to keep an eye on Albertsons freezers, as the new toppings will be from October into November 2026. And going by fans’ reactions to Markie Devo post, the big issue is that Albertsons is not exactly the most common store, so finding one near you might be a bit difficult.
But if the new Betty Crocker toppings eventually make their way to more grocery stores, there will probably be plenty of people ready to stock up because Vanilla Bean could go on pumpkin pie. Salted Caramel could pair with apple pie. Chocolate Fudge could join a brownie tray. Strawberry Mist could bring a pop of fruity flavor to cakes and other sweets.
