That’s right, we’re shifting into soup mode! And we’re not just stopping there. Soup season is officially here and we’re calling it now. Ramen makes the cut, too. The more the merrier. Get on in here!

Walmart seems to agree with us. They’ve just stocked a brand new line of ramen broths from Pacific Foods. These suckers will keep you cozy while still honoring Japanese flavor techniques that make ramen so special. Think of that warm, soothing ramen broth going down your throat as soon as you take it home. I can feel my insides heating up already!
Two Exciting Flavors
Pacific Foods’ new line of ramen broths is coming out of the gate with two flavors: chicken miso and pork tonkotsu. Pacific Foods describes the chicken miso ramen broth as a creamy, complex chef-inspired broth crafted with authentic Japanese flavors like organic dried miso, tamari soy sauce, sesame oil, and ginger to deliver a premium at-home ramen experience. Because this is just a base broth, you can either make a quick and comforting bowl or use it as a flavorful base for a side dish.
The pork tonkotsu on the other hand is described as a rich, robust umami base layered with organic dried tamari, onion, garlic, and warm spices that stand up to the heartiest builds, elevated side dishes, and flavor-forward simmer sauces. It has a bolder, deeper flavor than the chicken so you’ll want to grab this one when you’re ready to really settle in for the night. It might put you to sleep!
Our Hopes Are High
We’re no stranger to Pacific Foods. They’ve really impressed us over the years. Their Pacific Lightly Salted Organic Chicken & Wild Rice Soup was our favorite low sodium chicken and rice soup option. This one seems particularly relevant given one of the two newbies in Walmart is chicken based! They also put out a stellar Poblano Pepper & Corn Chowder and our very favorite tomato soup.
If you’re wanting to put their new ramen broths to the test (like we are) you really don’t have to wait long. In fact, it could be right next door. You can find these two ramen broths and so much more from Pacific Foods in retailers nationwide, not just Walmart! Though the ramen broths may be a little far from their norm, Japan is still in the Pacific region so surely the experience of Pacific Foods reaches both sides of the ocean!
