Arby’s just brought back a fan-favorite seasonal sandwich, and people are already trying to get their hands on it — only to come up short. So if you’ve been hoping to take a bite out of the Deep Fried Turkey Gobbler, you may have a hard time tracking one down.

The Deep Fried Turkey Gobbler is a Thanksgiving staple at Arby’s, packing a quarter-pound of deep-fried turkey meat, fried onions, Swiss cheese, stuffing, mayo, and cranberry sauce between two buns. And it’s always a hit, with Arby’s fans calling it good enough to deserve a permanent place on the restaurant’s menu. But it’s a limited-time offering each year, and this year, it appears the sandwich is especially hard to track down.
The Deep Fried Turkey Gobbler Isn’t Sold at Every Arby’s
First things first: It’s important to note that Arby’s did reveal that the Gobbler is both a limited-time (and seasonal) menu offering, and it’s only available at participating Arby’s locations.
So, while it’s easy to gloss over that “fine print,” it does mean that every Arby’s may not offer up this stacked turkey sandwich.
And we heard from our readers that it appears the Deep Fried Turkey Gobbler is, in fact, not available at a number of locations. Our readers haven’t been able to track down the Gobbler in Oregon and were told that many of the state’s Arby’s locations aren’t participating.
I set out to find out why the Gobbler is so hard to find, and I quickly learned that others on Reddit are reporting similar woes. Arby’s fans say they haven’t been able to order the Gobbler in the Orlando area, with the Arby’s app flagging the sandwich as “temporarily unavailable.”
And I also learned that some Arby’s restaurants are opting out of serving the Gobbler altogether. Reddit users report that some locations have confirmed that they aren’t participating, meaning you won’t find the sandwich on their menus at all this year.
So, Which Locations Do — And Don’t — Have Arby’s Gobbler?
If you, too, have been let down by Arby’s Deep Fried Turkey Gobbler and can’t find it at your usual restaurant, it may not be a total loss. It seems that it’s very location-specific. Your entire city or state may not be without the Gobbler… but you may have to do some searching in order to pinpoint which restaurants do have it.
After learning that Arby’s restaurants may be opting out of the Gobbler, I did some digging at my local Arby’s. Since I live in Los Angeles, there are quite a few nearby — and, as it turns out, the locations closest to my neighborhood don’t have the Gobbler on the menu. It doesn’t even appear as an option under the “Limited Time” offerings.
However, when I checked Arby’s Inglewood and Anaheim restaurants, the Deep Fried Gobbler did appear on the menu. It was available in-app and online for pickup and delivery orders.
So, it looks like Arby’s Deep Fried Turkey Gobbler isn’t available on a state-by-state basis or even regionally. You’ll have to check the menus of your go-to locations. And if you can’t find the Gobbler at your neighborhood Arby’s, you may want to broaden your search. Sure, I might not want to drive 30 minutes to pick up a deep-friend sandwich, but it is an option — and that might be the case for your area, too.
