As the climate continues to change we’ve been asking ourselves what really dictates the change in seasons. If we go strictly by when fall products are stocked in stores, then we would’ve been in fall mode since late July. But it does feel like there is a pretty popular belief that fall is now in the air.

Despite our insistence on the true start of fall being on the autumn solstice later this month and our perpetual encouragement for you folk to continue enjoying the bountiful produce of late summer, we have to admit that we’ve begun to enjoy the best of what fall has to offer a little bit early this year. A big part of that for us has been through the movies and shows we’ve been watching. Everyone’s got to have their guilty pleasures, don’t they?

Well, as soon as the word fall and autumn start to be whispered in the wind, we turned on Practical Magic like clockwork. Apparently, the fine folk at Olipop did too. It’s an especially big year for Practical Magic since the sequel, Practical Magic 2, comes out tomorrow. And in a collaboration with one of its lead actors Maisie Williams, Olipop releasing an extra witchy brew. Let’s get into the details.

Bubble, Bubble, Caramel Apple and Trouble

It’s like muscle memory for us to associate Halloween’s caramel apples with witches galore, and whether or not that comes from a deep-seeded love for the original Disney princess movies isn’t really something you’re ready to digest yet. Regardless, I think Olipop couldn’t have gone with a better flavor to make into their collaboration with the Williams.

Plus, these are flavors we’re already used to in drinks. As die-hard lovers of the sweet, caramel-y flavors of cream soda and appreciators of all things sour apple, this makes perfect sense as a seasonal soda beverage too. And after all of the energy drink seasonal fun with Alani Nu’s Witches Brew it was about time we saw something utilizing these classic fall flavors in traditional sodas too. Even though we are big fans of the Practical Magic movie for all of its 90s nostalgia, we are just excited to try this flavor out because it sounds so intriguing.

Will it really be balanced in flavor with the tart apple notes and luscious caramel? Or, will it be so artificial that we feel is that we’ve been cursed? We’re dying to find out. And, true to most Olipop drinks, this soda is not only prebiotic, but it is very low in sugar and high in fiber. One can of this has only 5g of sugar and 9g of fiber.
