August is upon us—and you know what that means. It’s time to have our bi-annual crisis about how fast the year is going! Well, sure, but it’s also time for a new batch of Aldi finds.

I haven’t been shopping at Aldi for long; I actually only started when that little girl on TikTok called it “Awhl-di” and the cuteness made us all lose our minds—but now I would pick Aldi as my grocery store of choice nine times out of ten, even over (whispers furtively) Trader Joes. But I digress. And since time’s unlikely to stop or slow down for me, and we all gotta eat, here are six new Aldi finds that we can’t wait to try!

Specially Selected Creamy Wonton Crispy Stuffed Shrimp (Available August 20, $5.99)

Hi, it’s me, I’m the problem. My fondness for fried seafood is well known to friends and family, and when I order for the table, you best believe at least one of the apps will be some type of deep fried shrimp or calamari. Crispy wonton-coated fried shrimp stuffed with cream cheese may sound like too much of a good thing to a better woman, but I am not her. I’m the woman who will heat these in my airfryer at 2 a.m. on a Tuesday to eat hunched over the counter while I scroll through Love Island TikToks.

Appetitos Buffalo Mac & Cheese Bites (Available August 27, $4.49)

Mac and cheese that you can eat with your hands? Sold. I imagine hot cheesy perfection with the heat and tang of Buffalo sauce, great for when the game is on and your partner refuses to leave the couch to eat. These aren’t new, but they are a returning favorite—and if they’re as good as this Reddit user says they are, I say stock up!

Mama Cozzi’s Korean Bulgogi Pizza (Available August 6, $4.99)

Whenever I buy frozen pizza it’s in anticipation of a particularly stressful week, like finals week, or the week after a new season of 911 releases. This is to say, frozen pizza is not something I reach for regularly—but when I do, I can’t help but gravitate toward more interesting flavors and this Korean bulgogi pizza from Aldi caught my eye. Yeah, you risk the brand not really landing a particularly experimental product, but what’s life without risk—also, it’s $5, so it’s not the end of the world if you don’t like it.

Specially Selected Jalapeño Cheddar Sourdough Bread (Available August 20, $3.99)

I got excited about this when I saw someone in the Facebook ‘Aldi Aisle of Shame’ community (yes this a real thing, no I don’t like associating the word “shame” with food either) describe it as, and I quote, “the best loaf of jalapeño cheddar bread ever.” This is an old fave, coming back to an adoring public this fall. My favorite dip ever is a jalapeño cheddar dip from Aldi, so I am inclined to believe that review.

Baker’s Corner Cinnamon Churro Cornbread Mix (Available Now, $1.99)

Cornbread isn’t supposed to be cake, yes—however, the flavor of cornbread just goes so well with toasty autumn spices—case in point, this cinnamon churro cornbread. Top the whole thing with some turbinado sugar before putting it in the oven and bob’s your uncle. The perfect afternoon treat. One Reddit user admits to going the full desert route and making a tres leches using this as a base, which sounds like a good time to me!

FieldCraft Mango & Dragonfruit Imperial Seltzer (Available Now, $8.99)

Mango flavored things are my weakness. Actually, mangoes are my favorite thing in the world, but it’s so hard to find actually good, ripe mangoes in the U.S.—ergo, mango flavored things. And this mango and dragonfruit seltzer sounds great—I’m not usually a seltzer girlie, but I’ll give this a shot for the flavor profile.
