How to Get Free Food: The Best April Food Deals Right Now

I just filled up my gas tank yesterday. It was $5.79 a gallon. Guys, I have to spend April on a budget. And I think I’ve got just the way to do it. Walk with me, people. Walk with me. (Please. I can’t afford to drive.)

Now, I went into this list of current fast food and grocery deals hoping to find a different deal for every single day of April. I don’t know where I conjured that kind of radical optimism in this current economic climate, but it’s safe to say I failed. I did, however, find a lot of good deals this month. So it’s not for nothing.

First things first: These are some day-specific deals in April that you don’t want to miss.

Saturday, 4/4: Redeem this offer for free fries + a free Frosty at Wendy’s as early as tomorrow! This is part of Wendy’s Dunk Madness promotion. Basically, the offer pops up on the Wendy’s app after the first “dunk” happens during the men’s or women’s NCAA Championship games. It’s a little confusing, though: You can only order the free food on April 7th. So grab the offer as soon as 4/4 to use it on Tuesday, 4/7. Make sense? Are you still walking with me? Great.
Sunday, 4/5: It’s Easter! The deals are endless. That’s why we made a whole separate list for them. Enjoy!
Monday, 4/6: Happy National Acai Bowl Day to those who celebrate! At Jamba, you can grab a $5 regular size acai bowl or $3 small super-antioxidant acai smoothie. And everything is 25% off at Açaí Republic!
Thursday, 4/16: Y’all. This is my favorite deal of the month. It’s “Free Cone Day” at Ben & Jerry’s. And there’s no strings attached. Go grab yourself some free ice cream, bestie.
Monday, 4/20: Look, so many 420 food deals will be happening this day, but they aren’t announced yet. Last year, we got a 1 cent cheeseburger at Burger King, $4.20 off at Insomnia Cookies, a $4.20 “Snack Stash” Carl’s Jr., and so much more. Just keep an eye out for now.
Sunday, 4/26: It’s National Pretzel Day! You can grab a free Original or Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel at Auntie Anne’s. Plus, Wetzel’s Pretzel is also doing a free Original Pretzel from 3pm to close.

BOGO Blizzard for 99 cents at Dairy Queen. Uh, this isn’t just a one-time thing, either. You can grab this BOGO every day, available through April 26. That’s dangerous.
Subway BOGO Footlong Sub: Rewards members can use code FLBOGO in the app to get two footlongs for the price of one. (Membership is free to sign up!) Promotion ends April 28th.
Free Cheesecake Factory cheesecake: If you sign up for the Cheesecake Factory membership rewards before May 7th, you get a free cheesecake. Again, the membership is free! And these Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes ain’t cheap, so it’s a good deal.
$10 Large 3-Topping Pizza at Pizza Hut. I linked this one because it doesn’t obviously show up on Pizza Hut’s “deals” page, but it does exist. This promotion is currently going through May 3rd, so make use of it!
Olive Garden’s Buy One, Take One promotion. Starting at $14.99, guests get a dine-in entrée with unlimited soup or salad and breadsticks, plus a second, chilled entrée for free to take home. This one runs through early May, and you can use it as many times as you so please.
