The Rumored Arby’s New Menu Item Is So 2026

At this point, it’s easier to keep tabs on which fast food chains haven’t launched a dirty soda instead of which have. Because honestly, it’s been utterly nonstop this year. McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, Crumbl, and pretty much every other restaurant and bakery chain have been getting in on the action (if by “the action”, you mean “a combination of soda and some kind of creamy element,” which we certainly do), to the point where those that don’t now feel like outliers.

Well, Arby’s wasn’t going to be left in the dust on this one. Rumor has it that there’s a dirty soda-esque drink coming to the chain – and it sounds like it’s gonna have a classic vibe. 

Arby’s Dirty Soda: Incoming?

The news that Arby’s is getting a dirty soda didn’t come from a press release but from Reddit: A couple of days ago, a user posted what appears to be an image of an internal menu update showing that the restaurant is adding a Shirley Temple to its menu. It looks like you can order the drink as a classic Shirley Temple, or you can go for a Shirley ‘n Cream, which will be a dirty soda-fied option. 

Now, at this point, this is just speculation – Arby’s hasn’t confirmed anything – but given its fairly old-school menu focus and the unending passion the world has for dirty soda, this feels like a logical move. One person in the Reddit thread definitely agreed (while also pointing out that there are a looooot of sugary drinks flying around right now). “Shirley Temple? Brings back childhood memories. Lots of old folks like Arby’s, so I say it’s a good call,” they stated.

The Return Of The Nugget

Arby’s’ new drink wasn’t the only revelation in the picture posted on Reddit. Also included was the alleged news that Arby’s is bringing back its Steak Nuggets. And in case you were wondering how people feel about this…they are categorically not happy. The Reddit thread was flooded with comments despairing about the decision to remount them, with some people saying that Arby’s has only done so because they have loads leftover from their last release. As a reminder, when Arby’s first brought out its Steak Nuggets, they were nearly universally dunked on by reviewers. So…unless it’s changed anything, expect more of the same.

Thus, we might have a hit and a miss on our hands here, folks. No word yet on when these items are dropping (if, indeed, they are), but we’ll be keeping our ear to the ground.
