Well, y’all, it is getting to be that time. The last leaves are dropping off the trees, people are switching from pumpkins and ghosts to wreaths and lights on their front stoops, and Miss Mariah is emerging from her yearly slumber to tell us that her Christmas wish list this year is both frighteningly short and the same it’s been every year since 1994. Not only that, but a fresh batch of December Aldi finds has been announced, so buckle your seatbelts and get your sweet tooths (teeth?) ready for the December Aldi product releases we cannot wait to get our festively mittened hands on.

Southern Grove Pistachio Burlap (Available Dec. 3, $9.99)

This winter, you can get pistachios at Aldi. These aren’t just any pistachios, mind you; these are roasted pistachios with sea salt that are packaged in a burlap bag. As a person who was a big fan of all things make-believe as a child, I can tell you that there is literally an endless list of uses for a burlap bag, and as an adult who is a hoarder, I feel the exact same way—that bag could be used for headphones or shoes while traveling, random fruits, and so much more. Put more things in burlap, I say! Bring back burlap bags, buster!

Aldi Ready to Bake Cookie Dough in both Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter (Available Dec. 3, $4.99)

If you’ve had the same year we have, then you are acutely aware that having ready-to-bake cookie dough in the fridge is a must this holiday season. Lucky for you, Aldi is presenting us with two new options: Chocolate Chip (which looks like the classic cookies we know and love) and Peanut Butter Chip (which looks like peanut butter cookies with peanut butter flavored chips), so all of us can have warm, delicious, fresh out of the oven cookies all season long. Personally? I am eyeing the peanut butter.

Millville Cinnamon Roll or Hot Chocolate Pancake Mix ($1.95, available Dec. 3)

Looking for a cozy treat to whip out on a freezing cold December morning? Aldi is giving us a chance to skip the expensive brunch restaurant and the hassle of cooking from scratch this year, with these holiday pancake mixes that come in both Cinnamon Roll flavor and Hot Chocolate flavor. These are the easy kind, where you literally just have to add water, and everything else is in the mix. I personally have never had a hot chocolate-flavored pancake in my life, and this winter, thanks to Aldi, I intend to fix that.

Appetitos Burrata Bites ($4.29, available Dec. 17)

These are not exactly what they sound like. Yes, they sound like little balls of burrata, that much is true, but they are little balls of burrata that have been breaded, deep fried, then frozen for our easy oven-reheating pleasure. Or rather, they are more burrata-inspired than anything else considering that they’re described on the pack as “breaded mozzarella cheese filled with seasoned ricotta.” These are like if someone catfished you, but they still look gorgeous (just different gorgeous from their profile pictures)—they aren’t who they claim to be, but ultimately it matters less than the fact that, at the end of the day, these are still a breaded, fried cheese balls and that is never going to be a problem.

Southern Grove Winter Trail Mixes in Caramel Crème Brûlée, Hot Cocoa, or Peppermint Mocha ($10.99, available Dec. 3)

Here’s the thing. I am not doing a lot of hiking in the winter. But does that stop me from craving trail mix? No, sirree Bob! We are all still walking this crazy trail we call life, and these three delicious looking trail mixes from Southern Grove that come in Caramel Crème Brûlée, Hot Cocoa, and Peppermint Mocha seem like the perfect fit for a winter movie night, craft night, baking night, or, the perfect use case for a leftover burlap bag lying around if you fortuitously happen to have one for some reason and want to dump some trail mix into it.

Specially Selected Honey Sampler Variety Pack ($8.99, available Dec. 3)

Winter is a big time for charcuterie boards, and charcuterie boards are a big, big time for small, small honey jars. This sampler form Aldi comes with not one, not four, but six different varieties of honey, so you could do a honey tasting to put on your professional food taste tester hat and see which is best, or you could make yourself a weekly charcuterie board each centered around a different honey from the box. It comes with Orange Blossom, Spanish Forest, Acacia, Lavender Flower, Manuka MGO 50, and British Wild Flower, so the possibilities are truly endless here, and at the very least, you are bound to find out what kind(s) of honey you (a new connoisseur of all things sticky and bee-derived) tend to prefer.
