You might expect that a corn muffin mix with Dolly Parton’s lovely face on the box would probably have some sweetness to it, and you’d be right. But the real selling point is the ⅓ cup of melted butter that you add to the mix, which gives it a really rich flavor that sets it apart from the rest. The only downside is all that butter kinda solidified once the corn muffins cooled down, making it a little harder than the other muffins. A quick shot in the microwave softens it up nicely.

Amazingly, it still tastes super buttery, even though it doesn’t call for any added butter. The muffins are also fairly light, plumping up to be a bit more airy and less dense than the other mixes. And that honey taste really adds to the mix, giving it a rich sweetness that doesn’t overpower you with sugar.
