Dubai chocolate bars are crazy expensive. (Want to know why Dubai chocolate is so expensive? Click that link, we explained it.) But Dubai chocolate bars are also really, really good—at least, that’s what all the social media posts would make you believe. So, what’s the best Dubai chocolate bar worth your moolah that you can actually get in the United States? I tried the top brands to find out.
How I chose which Dubai chocolate brands to try
The original Dubai chocolate bar was created by Sarah Hamouda at her company, Fix Dessert, way back in 2021 in Dubai. Her viral creation—a chocolate bar filled with a mix of pistachio cream and shredded phyllo—cannot be shipped outside of the UAE. And Sporked was unwilling to foot the bill for me to fly to Dubai (especially since I insisted it be in a first class suite on the airline Jennifer Anniston flies).
So I could not and have not tried the real deal. Instead, I focused on sourcing top-rated, somewhat affordable Dubai chocolate bars. I tried Chocovia Dubai Style Chocolate, which is pretty widely available on Amazon, at World Market, and even on Walmart’s website, Magno Pistachio Knafeh, which can be purchased on the brand’s website, and Nuts Factory Dubai Chocolate, which can be found on the Nuts Factory website.
As of this writing, I have not been able to get my hands on the just-released Trader Joe’s Dubai chocolate bar or the new Lindt Dubai chocolate bar. Nor was I able to secure Kevin O’Leary’s Dubai chocolate bar (yes, Mr. Wonderful has a highly rated Dubai chocolate for sale on QVC), because it is constantly sold out. But once I do get a taste, I’ll update this article and let you know.
What I looked for in the best Dubai chocolate
As I mentioned, I haven’t actually tasted the original Dubai chocolate bar. But I have a pretty good idea of what pistachio cream should taste like. I know that phyllo shreds should be crispy. And I definitely know what good chocolate tastes like. So, for me, the best Dubai chocolate bar is a perfect balance of creamy chocolate, nutty, gooey (but not liquidy) pistachio cream, and crispy phyllo shreds.
In the end, one Dubai chocolate bar stood head and shoulders above the rest.

I took one bite of this Dubai chocolate bar and immediately understood the craze. It delivers so much more than the sum of its parts. It’s honestly better than I ever imagined Dubai chocolate being. The bar is huge—like a prop Wonka bar from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory—and it’s stuffed with just the right amount of creamy filling. The chocolate itself is good and not too thick, either, so you can bite through it without the filling squidging out the sides. It’s made with ultra creamy milk chocolate. And the filling, boy oh boy, the filling. The pistachio flavor is delicately savory and nutty. And the phyllo shreds are truly crispy. I dream about this chocolate bar. Is it cheap? At $50 for two bars, it is not. However, it’s cheaper than some other copycats and it’s worth every penny. I am confident in saying this is the best Dubai chocolate bar you can buy in the U.S.
