You may have had an uneventful winter. You may have stayed all cozy inside and rewatched Parks and Rec for the ninth time while eating homemade cookies. Or maybe you wrote the next great American novel and invented microwave popcorn (again). But regardless of what the rest of us did, it seems like Jeni was busy. Yes, Jeni (of ice cream fame) must have had a very eventful winter because she is launching her Jeni’s spring 2025 ice cream line this week and it contains not one, not five, but seven new ice cream products of various kinds for us, the cold confection connoisseurs on this crazy cube full of continents we call Earth. So let’s get into it because there’s a lot to tell and y’all? We have the scoop.
So what are the seven Jeni’s items? Are they all pints? Are they all spring themed? Where and when can I get them? If I do will Jeni be my best friend and give me free ice cream all the time?
First thing’s first: The seven items are split into two main groups: three new pints, and four new ice cream bars. As for whether they are spring-themed, the answer is “kinda!” Some of the flavors are fruity or flowery or citrusy (very springy), while others are more standard fare, like chocolate-based options (that feel a little less springy). But the bottom line is that all ice cream is relevant all year round, so I’m not complaining. Jeni gave us a great variety of new flavors to try, and we’ll take it.
Jeni’s springtime collection includes pints of the new Citrus Glazed Pound Cake, which is yuzu ice cream with yellow pound cake and a lemon icing glaze (I’m salivating); new Tropical Bloom ice cream, which is a blend of mandarin orange, kiwi, and passionfruit (sherbet? more like SURE bet); and Raspberry Rhubarb Delight, which is coriander sweet cream ice cream with a ribbon of raspberry rhubarb jam (I mean, yum).
The bar flavors include Vanilla Caramel Sundae, vanilla ice cream with almonds and caramel covered in a chocolate shell; Passionfruit Dreamsicle, which is a passionfruit and key lime twist on an Orange Creamsicle; the Dark Chocolate Bombe, which is chocolate ice cream loaded with chocolate cookies and a chocolate shell on the outside; and lastly, a Chocolate Churros & Cream flavor, which will be sold only at Whole Foods, according to snack news Instagrammer @markie_devo. There does not appear to be a bad flavor idea in the bunch here, and as your resident cold confection connoisseurs, we cannot wait to review these for ya.
In the meantime, however, you can find them yourself at Jeni’s stores, online, and at any grocery store where Jeni’s is sold starting on March 27 (so basically now). As for whether Jeni will be your best friend if you buy her spring ice cream flavors, it is too early to tell. I have bought her ice cream, now I’m just waiting for her to call me. Jeni, if you are out there, your ice cream is great and creative, and we should hang out sometime. Just a vibe, but I feel like you would be good at bar trivia.
