We tasted eight new and returning Mountain Dew flavors in 2025. That’s a lot of new flavors for one soda brand! And while all of them had their plusses and minuses, we thought two of them deserved to be officially recognized as a job well done. A round of applause, please, for the best new Mountain Dew flavors of 2025.

Mountain Dew Mango Rush

Runner-Up

Mountain Dew Mango Rush

The best new Mountain Dew of 2025 was only available at Little Caesars locations and only for a limited time. So, if you want to score a can, you’re going to need to monitor some Mountain Dew Discord boards or go hunting on the dark web. Its rich mango flavor meshes perfectly with the mellow heat. And it features Little Caesar himself on the can. Bring it back, Little Caesars!

Mountain Dew Zero Sugar x Trolli Cherry-Lemon

Winner

Mountain Dew Zero Sugar x Trolli Cherry-Lemon

Some folks were bummed when Mountain Dew decided to forgo a 2025 VooDEW release and drop this Trolli-flavored soda instead. But after tasting it, we’re willing to forgive them. It truly tastes like a Cherry-Lemon Trolli! It’s fruity and sour—and it barely has any fake sugar flavor. Many of the taste-testers said this was one of the best zero sugar sodas they’ve ever had. That’s quite an honor. And that’s why this is the best new Mountain Dew flavor of 2025.

About the Author

Justine Sterling

Hi! I’m the editor-in-chief of Sporked. I will never turn down a fresh-shucked oyster but I’ll also leap at whatever new product Reese’s releases and I love a Tostitos Hint of Lime, even if there is no actual lime in the ingredients. Why you should trust me: I have been writing about food and beverages for well over a decade and am an avid at-home cook and snacker. I began my career writing about fine dining and recipes, moved into cocktails and spirits, and now I talk about groceries. If you can eat it or drink it, I’ve probably written about it. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s dried okra. Appleton Farms prosciutto from Aldi. Some sort of Trader Joe’s cheese (I’m into the aged gouda at the moment). Frozen waffles (usually the Eggo Cinnamon Toast Minis). Spindrift water (loving the Cosmopolitan right now). Favorite ranking: Smoked salmon. Imagine me as Scrooge McDuck but instead of coins I’m diving into a vault of slippery smoked salmon slices. Pure joy. I also found some real steals in that taste test! Least favorite ranking: Canned oysters. I had such high hopes for this but it quickly became a chore. The kitchen smelled like an uncleaned aquarium.
