Powdered coffee creamer has a bad reputation these days, especially from coffee nerds. Sure, you often find it in places like offices or car dealerships, which aren’t exactly known for quality coffee experiences. But if you don’t want to have to choke down black coffee, while also constantly buying fresh cream, or if you’re just low on fridge space, then powdered coffee creamer can be a real lifesaver. Plus, the flavored kind can provide some actual taste to that horrible car dealership coffee.
But with so many powdered creamers on the market, what’s the best powdered coffee creamer? Well, we spent some time drinking a ton of coffee to find out which powdered creamers rose to the top, judging each of them on taste and how well they emulsify into coffee. Here are our picks for the best powdered creamers on the market.

While most powdered creamers aren’t especially high in fat, they do have some, as they are made mainly from vegetable oil and corn syrup solids. But this Coffeemate powdered coffee creamer cuts out the fat while still giving you the rich, creamy experience you crave. And while it may not be as rich or creamy as the full-fat stuff, it’s a decent trade off and the best powdered creamer if you’re trying to be a little healthier.

Don’t let the plain looking design and bare-bones label fool you, this Amazon brand powdered coffee creamer mixes up smooth, while also delivering a good, strong hazelnut flavor. The only confusing thing about it is the “non dairy” notice on the bottle, as a quick look at the ingredients confirms that it definitely contains milk. Now, that’s not too surprising, considering all the powdered creamers on this list have milk products in them, but I just wanted to give a heads up to let any of our vegan readers, that you’ll be adding some milk products into coffee with any of these creamers.

- Amazon Saver French Vanilla Powdered Creamer

Here’s another bare-bones-looking powdered creamer from Amazon Saver, but it holds up against the other vanilla flavors we tried, while still blending into our coffee with a nice, even consistency. The vanilla flavor is strong enough to cut through even some bold, dark roast coffee. All in all, it’s really tasty, and the best powdered creamer for coffee if vanilla is your style.

- Coffeemate Zero Sugar Chocolate Crème Powdered Creamer
-
If you’re looking to fill your coffee and chocolate addictions at the same time, this is the best powdered creamer for you. It offers a strong chocolate taste that’s not so sweet it overpowers your coffee. And, as the name suggests, it’s zero sugar, although a quick look at the label reveals that it’s actually more calories than regular Coffeemate, with 15 calories per ¾ teaspoons compared to the regular stuff’s 10 calories. Still, the chocolate flavor is better in this one, so it’s worth it!

- Coffeemate Original Powdered Creamer

This may seem anti-climactic, but the standard, classic Coffeemate turns out to be the best powdered creamer of the bunch. It’s got the consistency you’d expect, easily dissolving and turning your coffee into a light and creamy mix. It’s what you want out of a powdered coffee creamer, which is probably why it’s been around since 1961.
