Best Thin Crust Frozen Pizza That Gives Domino’s a Run for Its Money

I thought finding the best thin crust frozen pizza would be easy. In my mind, most frozen pizzas are frozen thin crust pizza. But they aren’t. Even the ones that advertise having a thin crust end up having a medium-thick crust. Thin crust frozen pizza should have a thin crust—it should be delicate and almost crackery.

After two taste tests, I’ve tried more than 20 different pies in search of the best frozen thin crust pizza, and only five made the cut. That doesn’t mean the others were necessarily bad frozen pizzas, they just weren’t the best thin crust frozen pizza money could buy. And we here at Sporked only recommend the absolute best for you, my babies. 

What we looked for in the best thin crust frozen pizza: 

• Actually thin, crispy crust. Think: Domino’s thin crust, practically a big, cheesy cracker.
• Good topping distribution. They should go all the way to the edge but shouldn’t overload the thin crust so that it falls apart.
• Enough sauce. Lots of the pizzas we tried were severely lacking in sauce.

Best Thin Crust Cheese Pizza

Jack’s Original Thin Cheese

This is definitely cafeteria pizza—but not in a bad way! The crust is super thin and it gets nice and crackery in the oven. It doesn’t taste like much, but it’s a good vehicle for the sauce (there’s lots of it) and cheese. It’s some of the best thin crust frozen pizza if you’re looking for budget-friendly cheese pies to keep in your freezer.

Best Extra Meaty Thin Crust Pizza

DiGiorno Carnivore Loaded Ultra Thin

Target

DiGiorno’s Ultra Thin frozen pizzas are far better thin crust frozen pizzas than their standard thin crust. The crust is just so very, very thin. We preferred the veggie version, but it’s super tough to track down these days (it’s nowhere to be found in our area, so we had to take it off this list). The meat version isn’t too shabby, though. The pepperoni is good, the sausage is fine, but the ham batons are the stand-out topping. And you cannot ignore just how much meat is on this frozen thin crust pizza. It is a meat lover’s dream come true and definitely the best frozen thin crust pizza if you identify as a carnivore above all else.

Best Thin Crust Pepperoni Pizza

Red Baron Thin & Crispy Pepperoni

Walmart

The toppings go all the way to the edge of this frozen thin crust pizza. And the pepperoni are shockingly great. They’re spicy and meaty and perfectly thin. Sure, the sauce tastes a bit like the sauce in a pizza roll. But in a comforting way. Seriously, don’t discount Red Baron.

Best Thin Crust White Pizza

Bettergoods Ultra Thin Rosemary and Garlic Chicken

Walmart

We weren’t wowed by the frozen pizzas from Bettergoods (Walmart’s millennial-focused store brand) when we first tasted them. And then we tried this one. It seriously tastes like something you’d get from a gastropub! The sauce is garlicky—in a real garlic way, no jarlic. The chicken is juicy. And the ricotta dollops add good, creamy texture. And the ribbons of smoked provolone melt and taste almost meaty. It’s a truly delicious pizza that you could serve at a dinner party.

Screamin’ Sicilian I’m Thin & Crispy Cheese

Screamin’ Sicilian

The thin crackery crust. The oodles of cheese. And SO MUCH SAUCE. And the sauce is good. It has a deep umami flavor. There’s a speckling of herbs, too, that adds some tasty depth of flavor—they don’t taste like dried, old, back-of-the cabinet herbs. It’s great frozen pizza, thanks to the cheese and the sauce. But that thin, crispy crust sends it to the top of this list of the best frozen thin crust pizza.
