If there’s one thing Pringles is going to do, it’s innovate. The chip brand is on a near-constant mission to throw ever-wilder wild flavors into the world (some of its bolder ones have even made our best of the best list), and all we can do is sit back and watch in awe. Ghost pepper ranch Pringles? You got it. A cinnamon & sugar flavor? Yup. A pulled pork option that you can only find in Walmart? We guess we’re getting in the car and driving on down.

And now, Pringles has done it again: Word has reached us that Burger King-flavored Pringles are on their way. The only problem… is that they’re only available in the UK. Sorry, everyone. Here’s what we know.
Burger King Flavored Pringles: A Match (Maybe) Made In Heaven
This UK exclusive is actually a pair of flavors, both of which will attempt to imitate two of BK’s sandwiches. Brits will soon be able to snack on Chicken King Royale-flavored Pringles and Bacon Double Cheese XL-flavored Pringles. There’s no word just yet on exactly when they’ll be hitting the likes of Tesco and Sainsbury’s (which are our equivalents of Walmart and Target), but they might be dropping as soon as April.
As for price, these Pringles are said to be around £2.00 per tube, which is around $2.70. The mock-up of the Pringles over at @johns_snackreviews on Instagram also pointed towards the fact that you may be able to buy one and get one free with these flavors, but there’s no confirmation as to whether that’s actually true just yet. As a Brit myself, I’ll be able to confirm whether that’s the case when I see them in stores – and I’ll obviously be trying them as soon as I can.
So…How Will They Taste?
Honestly, it’s hard to tell. Pringles is generally pretty good at smokiness: Its Texas BBQ flavor has an excellent smoky note, and hopefully it’ll be able to wield some of that here in the Bacon Double Cheese XL flavor. Beef, bacon, and cheese are also pretty easy to imitate in chips, so I do have hope on that front.
As for the Chicken King Royale flavor, I’m slightly less convinced; chicken is notoriously difficult to get right in chips, and too often, chicken flavors just sort of taste vaguely of umami and little else. Plus, the toppings in a fried chicken sandwich often play a huge part in its ultimate taste, and if Burger King and Pringles are going to try to make these chips taste like lettuce, it’s going to be over before it’s even begun.
With all that said, though, I’ll be wanting to try these ASAP. Will they make it over to the US? It looks like the test audience on this little island will have to approve them first.
