Coca-Cola has, in many ways, been ingrained in the culture of the American holiday season. From the iconic yearly Christmas commercials to the very reason that Santa Claus in the United States wears a Coca-Cola red jacket and hat, the company is intrinsically linked with holiday spirit.

And, while we may still be deep in the throes of fall celebrations and Halloween preparation, Coca-Cola is already looking ahead to the most magical time of the year. Regardless of how or what you celebrate, Coca-Cola is looking to make your winter celebrations extra sweet this year through the return of an elusive flavor. Let’s get into this exciting news, shall we?
Something New Or Returning Favorite?
With holiday flavors from Coca-Cola, taking a five-year hiatus, we knew not to expect a holiday flavor this year from Coca-Cola as a guarantee. But, ever since the return of seasonal holiday flavors last winter, we did admittedly have our hopes up. Luckily for us, not only is there going to be a holiday flavor this year, but last year‘s Holiday Creamy Vanilla flavor will be making a return to shelves.
Coca-Cola says that the flavor is supposed to be an extra creamy and smooth vanilla flavor that feels deeply reminiscent of nostalgic holiday joy — what’s not to love about that? We’re imagining a Vanilla Coke with that extra hit of vanilla cranked up to 11.
Down To The Nitty-Gritty
Now, not only do we know what to expect with flavors from this year’s holiday launch, but we know quite a few more details as well. The Holiday Creamy Vanilla will not only be available in the original Coke format, but it will also be available in the Coke Zero format, too. And in an exciting turn of events, the golden striped cans decorated with a swirl of cream will be available starting October 12, so we don’t really have to wait much longer now to get our hands on them.
But it’s not just cans that will be stocked on the shelves soon. We will be able to purchase this flavor as a 12-pack of 12-oz. cans, or as the 20-oz. plastic bottles. And even the plastic bottles will have that same gold striping and dollop of cream on the label. The return of this flavor will be accessible nationwide, and we’ve already heard rumors of other countries outside of the United States being able to get this flavor too.
Coca-Cola also noted that this is only the beginning of their holiday season. So, if this flavor doesn’t really speak to you, then rest assured that there’s plenty more holiday spirit to come from Coca-Cola this year outside of the returning Holiday Creamy Vanilla Coca-Cola products.
