The king of rotating menus and innovative baked goods, Utah-based Crumbl Cookies has featured a TON of flavors of cookies over the years (our research tells us over 300), many of which we are huge fans of! And today, we’re talking about one of Crumbl’s more polarizing, controversial flavors—Almost Everything Bagel—which is returning this week after a long hiatus…with a few twists.

What is Crumbl’s Almost Everything Bagel Cookie? And why is it *almost* everything?
Originally released in 2022, the Almost Everything Bagel Cookie was a standard cookie that featured black and white sesame seeds, poppy seeds, and a swirl of cream cheese frosting on the top. Why is it an almost everything bagel cookie? Well, according to reviewers who tried it back in 2022, it did not feature garlic or onion.
Why is this cookie “controversial?”
Reviewers described it as a sweet and savory experience—which was good for some and bad for others, as documented in this Reddit thread. The two-top voted comments directly contradict each other. One says “PLEASE I LOVE THE EVERYTHING COOKIE I NEED IT TO COME BACK,” immediately followed by one that says, “The only Crumbl cookie and maybe the only dessert I’ve ever spit out smh.” It does appear that the haters may be outweighing the lovers, though, if the official voting system in Crumbl’s app has anything to say about it.
When is Crumbl’s Almost Everything Bagel Cookie coming back—and what’s the twist?
This controversial cookie is returning on April Fools’ Day (April 1st) and April Fools’ Day only! No, this is not a joke!
The twist is that Crumbl has given the controversial cookie a facelift! This time, it’s coming to us as a cookie sandwich made with two thin, bagel-shaped cookies (there’s a hole in the middle), sandwiching cream cheese frosting. It’s now called the Almost Everything Bagel Sandwich Cookie. The official description for this go-around is: “Two thin, buttery cookies coated in an almost everything bagel blend, sandwiching a light cream cheese filling.”
Is this new version any good?
It’s not April Fools’ Day yet, so I can’t tell you! However, the kind folks at Crumbl have offered to set up a delivery of this April Fools’ Day delicacy and I am NOT a man who turns down opportunities to get free cookies, so you can DEFINITELY count on us to be here on Wednesday, April 1st to let you know how this breakfast-inspired cookie sandwich stacks up!
