It’s all starting to heat up at Dairy Queen (or, we guess we should say, it’s starting to cool down). As we ease slowly out of winter (thank GOD) and the thermometer rises, the fast food chain is kicking into gear and doing what it does best: Teasing and releasing new frozen treats for your delectation.

A couple of days back, we brought you the news that Dairy Queen’s summer Blizzards are on their way – and now, its new Breakfast Collection is imminent. Imminent, we say. And one of the items that’s being released is one we’ve had an eye on for a long time. Here’s what we know.
Dairy Queen’s Breakfast Collection: A Blast From The Past
Dairy Queen’s new frozen menu items are inspired by the good old breakfasts of yore. What we mean by that is, it’s got a Fruity Pebbles cereal flavor, and one with the all-timer that is Cinnamon Toast Crunch. So, we’re already kinda sold on them. As old faithful @snackolator reports, the new line-up will feature:
Fruity Pebbles Shake
This new shake was tested last year, and it looks as though it was good enough to make the cut. It starts with a cereal milk-flavored base and has Fruity Pebbles pieces mixed throughout. A good ol’ swirl of whipped topping finishes it off.
Choco Frosted Donut Blizzard
This one is, shall we say, ambitious. DQ’s new Blizzard mixes chocolate-covered donut pieces through its signature soft serve, as well as a generous handful of sprinkles. We’re slightly worried about how much the soft serve’s gonna turn those donut pieces soggy and make this Blizzard like wading through (albeit very delicious) mud, but we’ll have to wait and see.
Cinnamon Toast Crunch Dipped Cone
Dairy Queen has been teasing its new dipped cone since January, and so we are very happy for the chain to put its money where its mouth is and BRING IT OUT. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch Dipped Cone coats its soft serve in a crunchy shell and covers it in Cinnadust topping. It’s sweet, it’s slightly spicy, it’ll rock.
When Can I Try Dairy Queen’s New Items?
These are going to be a Springtime drop, so it shouldn’t be too long until they’re in stores. They’re expected to land in locations nationwide towards the end of April. Oh, and you don’t have to order them at breakfast, just FYI. That said, you’ll probably want to be an early bird with them, because these probably won’t be around for very long. They have a distinctly “limited-time” vibe about them. Don’t miss out, people!
