Dole’s New Whip Flavors Will Have Vegans Very Happy

Dole Whip’s never far from our thoughts. For 40 years, this frozen dessert wasn’t available at retailers and was only sold at Disney parks – but when that finally changed in 2023, Dole went all-in on its products. Dole Whip cups appeared in freezer sections, Dole Whip Body Wash popped up at Walmart (yeah, really), and all the while, Dole was tinkering away at its Disney-fied product selection.

And now, we have two new Dole Whip products – or, we should say, Dole Whipt products. Let’s take a look at what’s in store. 

Dole Whipt

It seems that Dole has decided to make a break for the whipped topping market, and it’s introducing new Dole Whipt, a canned version of Dole Whip that feels precision-engineered to top your drinks. According to @markie_devo, from whom we learned about this new option from Dole, Dole Whipt will come in two flavors: Strawberry and Pineapple. It’ll contain 10 calories and one gram of sugar per serving, and it’ll be dairy-free – so if you’re vegan, you’re in luck. 

Okay, yes: Dole Whip is always dairy-free. That’s kinda the whole point of it. But traditional whipped topping is not, so there we are. Dole Whipt also feels like it fits snugly in with the trend towards more extravagant whipped topping flavors that we’ve seen for much of this year. We’ve had Snickers and gummy worm flavored toppings, so honestly, these two don’t feel that wild in comparison. 

Tell Us How The People Feel!

The people are happy! Dole Whipt got a pretty good reception from @markie_devo’s followers, with folks generally saying that they were excited about the prospect of canned Dole Whip hitting their shelves. One person pointed out, quite rightly, that these would be dynamite on top of a refresher. We guess you could also squirt them into a bowl, top them with berries or slices of fresh fruit, and enjoy them the way you would regular Dole Whip. Nothing’s stopping you. You’re your own person. You have free will. Go forth and CREATE.

My suspicion is these might be the kinds of products that you just happen upon, though. @markie_devo mentioned that they’ve been spotted at Stop and Shop, but so far, the likes of Walmart, Target, and Kroger aren’t listing it on its website – and it feels like the kind of thing you just happen upon in a dollar store.
